                             Picked both up for $15

All I heard was this game wasnt good and now I really like it so it goes to show dont trust opinions see for yourself.

So after playing about 3 hours the story really grabbed me and the bosses were crazy big and now the only thing I regret is I didnt buy these two games earlier.

The story of White Knight Chronicles begins in the kingdom of Balandor, where a princess’s coming-of-age banquet is raided by an evil Corporation called “Wizard”. A boy called Leonard grabs the princess’s hand and leads her to safety in the castle cellars, where he finds a strange suit of armour that transforms him into the White Knight – an ancient warrior with the strength to defeat the Wizard corporation forces. Leonard’s transformation into a mighty hero, the White Knight, is the beginning of a life-changing fantasy experience, fighting against the fiercest enemies.

Alongside the huge single player quest, adventurers will be able to meet in online lobbies to team up for their quests through the wide world of White Knight Chronicles. Players will find friendship and team spirit in abundance as they journey through a land of awe-inspiring mountains, a lofty castle, a cavernous mine and a towering mobile city built on the back of a gargantuan creature. They’ll hone their combat skills and strategy against foe after foe in gripping melee battles with enemies large and small – and they’ll join a globe-spanning community of brothers (and sisters)-in-arms with a shared taste for adventure.

i thought all the White Knight servers went offline? It's an online game right?  I read somewhere about them going offline, though I could've possibly mistaken this with another titlle.  That's what made me never check them out.  If they're still going though I'm fully down to try this out

Apparently, that online part is "alongside the huge single player quest," so it sounds like you're golden.

It's mostly a single player game. I didn't bother with the on-line (never do) and it's fine all on it's own

I rented this a while back and was confused by the battle system. Later though, I picked it up on the cheap to give it another try and there it still languishes in backloggery.

I played a lot of this but never finished. I enjoyed it once I got the hang of the battle system. The second game actually includes an updated version of the first so you didn't need to buy it.

I know but I collect games so if I got 2 I have to have one it was only 5 bucks anyway.

Fair enough. I have both copies too. I bought the first game a few years back and when I found two for cheap I bought it and started over. I got to one dungeon that was making me crazy and stopped playing. I need to get through it and finish the game.

I bought the 2nd game last year.  I was going to buy the 1st, but it came with the 2nd, so I did get it.  The prices on them were higher at the time.

I want to play this game, just need to keep on the lookout on a good deal on a PS3.
