My Top 10 of E3

Honorable Mention: Destiny

While I'm more excited for Destiny than many games higher on this list, I was already pretty well sold on it. Still, fucking Destiny!

10. Super Smash Bros

This picture is the one and only reason I put Smash Bros on here. I was already sold on it, I didn't need to see any more, but fuck. Seeing these four together just feels so right.

9. Far Cry 4

Far Cry 3 was full of awesome moments and had some not so awesome ones. 4 looked to make the great open world action of it even more fun while emphasizing its non-linearity, something I am definitely in favor of. Still no word on Yetis though.

8. Yoshi's Wooly World

Look at it! Just look at it!

7. Kirby Rainbow Curse

Canvas Curse was the game that sold me on touch screen controls, so I couldn't be happier to get a sequel. Also love the artstyle.

6. Batman: Arkham Knight

I kept wondering why Arkham needed the Batmobile, but Rocksteady made me eat my words Monday night. It may even sell me on the idea that turning the series into an open world may not have been a bad move after all.

5. Scale Bound

I love Platinum Games. So seeing them working on a game that looks like Devil May Cry with dragons is enough to get me pumped. Can't wait to see some gameplay.

4. No Man's Sky

This looks like the kind of game previously too awesome to exist. Like a Bethesda game, except you get to go into space when you're done with your world. I'm not sure if they can pull it off, but if they can, fuck, we may already have our game of the gen.

3. Sunset Overdrive

That looks like the most fun thing I have ever seen. I am so tempted to get an Xbone between this, Scale Bound and Halo 2 Anniversary.

2. Xenoblade Chronicles X

If you had told me that my second favorite game would be Monolith's game then known as "X" before E3, I would have looked at you funny. Thing is, this looks exactly like Knights of the Old Republic (my favorite game EVER) in a different, but still awesome, world. Fuck yeah I'm on board!

1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U

I haven't been this excited for a Zelda since Twilight Princess. The emphasis on a giant overworld and discovery has me pumped. At worst this sounds like the biggest Zelda ever. At best it sounds like Elder Scrolls meets Zelda. Needless to say, I'm stoked. This looks like it could even make up for Skyward Sword

yeah it was a good E3.  I'm starting to get hyped for Destiny, but I still want to hear more about it first.  I'm eyeing those white PS4's though and wishing I had one!

I think they've revealed pretty much everything they can at this point. The game's coming out pretty soon.

I agree with most of your choices here.

My game of E3 would be No Man's Sky. I was already interested in the game, but the three minute gameplay video at Sony's conference convinced me.

I'm sold on the idea, I'm just unsure on the execution. The only game these guys did before was more arcadey, and this is one hell of a project to try to pull off. Even Bioware and Bethesda weren't this ambitious last gen and their projects were all about ambition.

I really must have X and Zelda and a Wii U and a white PS4 and FUUUUUUUUUCK!

Ok, I'm feeling much better now. Pretty much everything on your list except Far Cry 4 coz that's just not my thing.

I enjoyed Far Cry 3 a lot and Far Cry 4 looks like a better version of it so that's good enough for me.

good list, I agree.

That Smash Bros image made me cry a little, I never could imagine this would happen.

I have yet to properly view the Zelda game and 'm too tired to do so right now to appretiate it, everythin i've seen of X's gameplay is fab, can't wait to kill dinosaurs 15x my size.

What?  No Captain Toad on your list? :)

If you get bored, you're more than welcome to check out my E3 blog if you like.

If I had an 11 spot, Captain Toad would definitely be there. Already checked out your blog, I'll comment on it in a bit.

Nice choices. I think Yoshi's Wooly World will look amazing when I see it on a real screen. For some reason the screen shots I've seen have lacked something. I'm not sure what.

No Man's Sky is really interesting.

Yeah, I definitely agree it will look better when played.

MGSV: The Phantom Pain was definitely my favorite game shown. Even though they didn't show any gameplay, the new trailer was pretty awesome.

Zelda Wii U, Assassin's Creed: Unity, Smash Bros Wii U, LittleBigPlanet 3, Far Cry 4 and Destiny all looked pretty awesome as well.

MGSV I'm already sold on. The demo was cool, but I don't want to know anything about that game. MGS is a series I like to go in as fresh as possible.

This is a great list. Yoshi's Wooly World is beyond adorable and it actually looks to transfer over the Yoshi's Island style of gameplay which I love.

I'm not that much of a fan of Yoshi's Island, but the new graphic style makes me really excited for this. The gameplay's good enough and it will be worth playing for the eye candy alone.

Xenoblade has me on the Wii U bus now. I see buying one around Christmas.

Wii U definitely looks more attractive now.

Of the new games announced, No Man's Sky seemed the most interesting to me. I too am a little concerned if they can pull it off (It looked a little boring just based off the trailer), but there is a ton of great ideas in there. The fact that I can picture a bunch of sci-fi books coming to life is enough reason for me to get excited.

Yeah, it's nothing but potential at this point. I would love nothing more than for them to pull it off though.

That's a good list. I'm interested to see more of the Yoshi game just for the graphics. The Batman game is another one I'm interested in because of the open world

With all the games already out for it or are coming out on the horizon, I hope I'm able to pick up a Wii U before too long. Although I was telling myself the same thing about the Wii and I didn't even get one until a few months before the Wii U was announced.

It's funny this E3 this go around. despite all the big reveals and the games mentioned nothing really got my blood pumping after the fact. Either I wasn't a big fan of the said series/franchise or I was dubious to see if the said games could pull off what they were offering. Catious sceptisism I suppose. stil No Man's Sky looks bad ass.
