April has been an exciting months for fans of the zombie-survival genre, thanks in no small part to SOE's H1Z1 media blitz, but a new State of Decay: Lifeline live stream should offer more than enough for fans of Undead Labs' first project to get hyped for the State of Decay: Lifeline release date.

We're still not even a full year removed from State of Decay's Xbox 360 debut but, if there's one thing we've learned about Undead Labs over the last eleven months, it's that the folks behind the upcoming State of Decay: Lifeline expansion are extremely passionate about the game they've created. That passion kept Undead Labs driven while various groups within the studio worked to optimize the 360 release, port State of Decay to Steam, and develop an add-on that introduces aspects of sandbox gaming to the title. All less than a year after State of Decay first appeared on Xbox Live.

Now, we're just weeks away from the debut of State of Decay: Lifeline; the second official expansion for State of Decay that will act as both prologue and side-story to the base game's campaign, and it seems the studio is more than ready to share State of Decay: Lifeline with fans around the globe. Earlier this month, Undead Labs brought aplayable version of Lifeline to PAX East and, on Tuesday, representatives of the studio returned to the Play XBLA Twitch channel to show off just under an hour of gameplay from the State of Decay: Lifeline expansion.
