I had to go back and take a look. It's all still there but other than blogs and threads it is a site frozen in time. It will forever represent February 2013.

One thing, No one can ever take Snee's Featured Blog status away from him.

good luck trying to log in though. I've been able to but haven't been able to post comments or leave blogs. In fact page data seems to be frozen.

I miss 1up. This site is better in that IT ACTUALLY FUCKING WORKS more than half the time, but I feel a lot of the community from 1up has been lost in transition.

Yeah 1up is still there, but I haven't been able to post any blogs or comments in a couple of months.  They should just take it down and give it some closure.  I really did like that site, though.

I kind of likened 1up as it is now to a ghost town. It's like everybody all of a sudden vanished with all their belongings still in their houses. Yes, there are still people there, but I see them more as lingering spirits. Some are old residents who just refuse to move on, but there's nothing resembling a community there.

Yeah it frooze around April. I used to post mirror post there, slowly stopped doing when I would get the same responses on Pixlbit. But there was quite of few people that still blogged up until that poing. Hell, the forum suddendly sprung to life right as the site frooze.

Oh the nostalgia.

On a funny note, that spam blog below Snee's feature translates as "Ways to make love"...

Hey 1Up! I used to check my old page every so often and check out what the folks are doing over there. Shame that place is done, but once again thank you good folks here for giving us a home

Perfect way to represent 1up in a single pic.

Well, Matt's a good writer so I'm not surprised his blog was in the "featured" column when the great exodus began. lol.

But in a way it might have been a good thing. 1up seemed to be gradually becoming more "politically correct" and less about the games and more about pseudo intellectual nonsense. Not in the blogging community but most of you probably understand what I'm getting at. In the end I'm glad 1up did not live long enough just to become another Polygon or Kotaku. (Both which have good articles once in a blue moon yet both of which put out troll bait and flame bait far more often just to get those hits.)
