I've been looking at the smaller games on Steam, like Banner Saga or Broken Age, because I'm worried my computer might not handle a larger game. Thus these sales don't pull me in as much.
Oh, Steam! You make this really difficult/easy. Also Watch Dogs.

Well, its that time of year again. If you have a decent machine, you've put off buying a certain game because you just don't have the money or whatever. Suddenly it's under $10 and it's offering any DLC at 75% off; now there is no excuse to not hold off, give in to impulse and spend. Next, its looking for any possible fixes because the game you bought is 10 years old and might not on your computer. What a trade off :\
Now I just need to find the right time to download all these games because bandwidth caps.
Now for Watch Dogs, if any of you have been paying attention to the game; a modder from Guru3d forums has discovered hidden files that unlocks some of those E3 2012 graphical effects. People from the PC gaming community, including myself are wondering why the hell were these settings hidden away. PC games tend to be the better version of a multi platform release; yet Watch Dogs was held back for some reason. Conspiracy theorist/fan boys are wondering if either Sony or Microsoft had a hand in it; considering both came out with new consoles last holiday season and are trying to get people to buy them for this game alone. Or maybe PC version just didn't have enough time in developement was rushed out the door. Its baffling as hell. Plus it kind of looks bad on Ubisoft as they are already facing public scrunity over on Uplay and why creating female characters in videogame is hard. I've tried it out myself when the word came down on Monday and it does make the game look slighty better; although I would admit my rig isn't as strong as I would like it to be.
However I haven't used Sweet FX as I don't know how to use it and these new settings do kind of push my computer a little harder. Now that Ubisoft is about to patch the PC version in the next couple of days (the PS4 version was today); I'm wondering how this will effect these unlocked files. Either way, it show cases the versatility of PC and the modding community; PC master race confirmed
Update: Yeah, Ubisoft's patch for Watch Dogs broke TheWorse's "mod" and the guys at the Guru3D forums are trying to fix it. I noticed that the bloom and DoF effects weren't enabled when I booted up the game after downloading the patch. Its kind of annoying.
