Another funny story at GameStop.

I know Pixlbit, I've posted way too much this week. Yesterday I posted that an employee at GameStop tried to f*** me over with the Signature Edition of Dragon Age 2. This time they've redeemed themselves. Well somewhat. So this morning I went into GameStop to pick up Shin Megami Tensei IV. I thought of getting it new because the new copy was their only one and it was the Limited Edition.
Knowing nothing of the game or series, I decided to get the used one. An employee there asked if I wanted the new copy because it was the Limited Edition. I told him I wanted to try out the game first and I showed no interest because the LE was opened since they had to gut the new copy and put it on the shelf. Well, he felt bad so he said "You know what, I'll just throw in the LE stuff with your pre owned copy since the box is opened. This has been here since the game launched and I need room in my drawer." Of course I wasn't going to turn that offer down. So I just thanked him and walked out.
When I got home, I saw the game cartridge wasn't that great in condition. It seemed like someone purposely rubbed something onto the part of the cartridge that's exposed in the back. So of course I didn't want to put that in my 3DS and possibly ruin it. So I called another store to see if they had another pre owned copy of the game and I asked if they can hold it for me.
Earlier this afternoon I made a trip to the other store and the employee brought out the copy. I explained to her what had happened with the cartridge I got from the previous store. Luckily she was cool with me switching out the games. She opened a drawer to get the game and I was surprised to see that she brought out the LE of the game with the pre owned copy. Of course in my mind I wanted to drop my jaw, but I just kept to myself and didn't say anything. I figured if I mentioned that I didn't want a new copy, she would've noticed and would only give me the pre owned game. After she handed me my receipt, I still couldn't believe she gave me the LE stuff with the pre owned game.
After what happened yesterday, they made it up to me today by giving me two Limited Edition's of Shin Megami Tensei IV and getting me a pre owned copy. So basically, I got two art books/strategy guides and two soundtracks of the game with a copy of the game for only $13. I think that makes up for my experience yesterday BIG TIME.
Anyways, that's my story. Sorry for nerding out about the LE of the game. Some gamers, like myself, go crazy for Limited, Special or Collector's Editions of games. That's all for this week. Have a great weekend everyone!
BEYOND!
