I completed the campaign mode on Uncharted 3 mere minutes ago and just right off the bat I can say that it was as enjoyable an gaming experience as the last Uncharted. Like the previous game, there were plenty of jaw-dropping sequences: the escape from the cruise ship, the hijacking and fisticuffs on the jumbo jet, the assault on a convoy on horseback and of course the escape from the lost city as its crumbling to the ground. The sights are amazing as well: the abandoned chateau in France (and the forestry surrounding it) and the desert sequences (which is probably the only time the game takes a breather).
The melee combat is okay. Either my timing sucked or my button presses didn't register so I took more punches, it seems. Gun-handling is the same and there are plenty of the stress-inducing killboxes (those snipers and RPG-toting goofs annoyed me to no end).
I do feel that the story felt slightly lacking. I liked the flashback with Drake and Sully but I thought I would have found out more about Drake (since its implied that's not his real name). The villians were easily hatable, yes, but they were not as memorable as UC2's villians. And I really wish Chloe could've stayed on a little longer.
Still, I had a good time and I suppose I'll get into the multiplayer sometime. Now I've got to figure out what I should play next. I've got Killzone 2 & 3, Metal Gear Solid 4 and a number of PSN games.
