I went to the grocery today to get bagels and tuna salad. They gave me chicken salad instead. BASTARDS!
I like Arkham City a lot more than Asylum, though Asylum was great. It's just more my style.

So since these few days leading to July 8 are the last where I won't be in a class or classes until 2015, I've been doing lots of eating out (too expensive, really need to be a responsible person and get my ass to Kroger so not every meal I eat is $5 or more), watching Netflix (watched both seasons of Orange is the New Black in a two-day span, also watching Breaking Bad where I'm in the first part of season 2, no spoilers please, watched Rocky last night and plan to watch the other four as well, kinda watched Tomb Raider), and ... *drum roll* playing games!
That's right, I finished Tomb Raider yesterday and overall I was very impressed. I also started Arkham City and am noticing a lot of similarities in control and gameplay style between that and TR. I'll say this about City so far: there's less weight to it than Asylum and it somehow seems less visually impressive. I dunno, something is just "off" about it. Also, I'm not that interested in the side missions and one of the augmented reality training sessions was a big WTF?! to me. Having said that, I can't wait to see what Mr. Freeze is like in this game.
Also, this looks cool. Happy 23rd Anniversary, Sonic!
Wait, how does a grocery store give you the wrong thing? Aren't you the one that has to pick it out?
I'm coming around on city, though I'm stuck pretty early on. Where the hell is Mr. Freeze and how to I shock gun that stupid fuse box so he can tell me how to disarm Penguin?
What happened was I didn't realize that actually was Mr. Freeze as I thought and I went to confront Penguin before freeing him to get the suit disruptor thingy. It's now sunrise and I'm on my way to finding Freeze's honey before I get to Joker in the Steel Mill. Totally wasted a day of my life on this game. Sad? I don't think so. Maybe?
I've never actually seen a full one until last night. I've caught bits of III on TV and seen reviews of IV, and I actually saw the 6th one, simple called Rocky Balboa, in theaters. That one was more like the original, instead of the campy installments after II.
Speaking of the original and II, I was surprised how little actual boxing was in the original, but I'm stoked to watch II tonight. The original also ended way more abruptly than I anticipated.
I prefer Asylum to City myself but both are fantastic games which control well and have some really fun set pieces. That's all I want to say for fear of spoiling anything for ya.
And wow, the two seasons of OITNB in two days. Color me impressed (pun intended). My wife and I just finished season 2 last week. I thought season 1 was more interesting but season 2 is still a lot of fun.
Yeah, season 1 was more interesting, but since I'm a fan of House of Cards as well and the evil bastards always win in that series, the ending to season 2 of Orange is the New Black was really satisfying to me.
Call me traditional, but I like it when the good guys (kind of) win.
I was going to sign up for Netflix just to check out some of their exclusives and after watching Orange is the New Black, I couldn't get into it. Of course I watched some episodes right in the middle of a season, which could explain that. I might take advantage of the free month.
Oh eating out is so much easier, but after seeing a steak is the same price of a combo meal, I'm leaning towards grilling. Speaking of I should have that for dinner tonight.
I didn't like OitNB much at all from the first couple episodes, but I did get into it. It's still not as high on my radar as House of Cards is though. That's my favorite show right now, and I can't wait for season 3.
I need to cook the chicken in my freezer before it goes bad. I bought it so that after I cook it I can make a ton of chicken dishes and basically just use it as my source of protein for a good while outside of the expensive whey stuff.
