Enjoying the sun, hoping not to die horribly

Concerning Daventry

From: King's Quest V

Remixed by: Orkybash

Being on vacation this week, I figured I'd have lots of time to play games and blog. Well, not as much as I'd thought, turns out, but I did want to quickly post something for your listening pleasure. This song from the King's Quest series (which always did enjoy killing the player character) has a nice idyllic summery feel to it. Sounds like a lazy afternoon in the sun to me. So c'mon, folks, hurry up and relax! Sheesh. Seriously, though, I hope you all get to enjoy your summer. It's often no less busy than any other time of the year. Perhaps this song will help...?

ah, Kings Quest.  Such simpler times.

Indeed. Not that I've played any of the King's Quest games, of course, but I can imagine. I've read about them lol

oh no?  Dammit man, they're on GOG.  I grew up with those things.  Trying to figure out things without the internet was a nightmare.  Me and my dad used to go down to Radioshack and ask people if they knew what to do.  Laughing

Those games were a few years before before my time. Plus we only had a Mac and I don't know if Sierra games were even available. I miss those pre-internet times though. It's hard to imagine life now without the internet and I sure as heck wouldn't be able to finish any of those games without it. Simpler times, as you said.

Actually, my summer is incredibly damn slow. Part-time job and no school make me a happy camper.

For a second there I thought you were going to complain about it being slow. Never understood the people that do that. I've never had a problem keeping myself occupied.

I mean there have been days where I've gotten depressed because I felt I wasted an entire day of my life, but otherwise no complaints here. Living it cushy while I can.

I got some summertime blues right now (cue that Blue Cheer song, or better yet, that Who live version from Live at Leeds). Hate working. Want it to stop forever. Gonna get me a tiny house and sit on the tiny porch in a tiny rocking chair and play my Vita and 3DS. . . and oh yea, shoot anyone who steps on my yard. SHBROOM! "Look at ol' man KnighDriver. He craaaaazy." Yep, that's me.

My favorite part about being on vacation is not going to work Tongue Out

I never did finish King's Quest V despite playing all of them, and growing up with the series. It really doesn't make sense. V was "easier" since it introduced mouse support, (no more typing, YAY!!! and there was even a NES port!) KQ 3 + 4 were always my favorites. One of these days I'll get around to it though. KQ was such a great series. Nice song!

Glad you liked it! I doubt I'll ever play those games but I enjoy admiring them from a distance lol

Wow...OC Remix is still alive and kicking after all these years.  I used to hit that site up for good tunes back in 2003.  Good times.

It has stayed amazingly robust and if anything has only gotten better! Looks like it will be around for a long time Smile

Now this is very nice. It does fit the mood for a lazy summer, or even a summer stroll given the interest. I need to see about DLing this and adding it to my light summer tunes music list.

You are a big one for lists, aren't you? Lol. I wish I would be so organized. Glad you liked the song!
