I like the first Rocky. Great movie. I haven't seen two for a while, I think, I'm not sure.
That's fun that you played Batman all night. IT's nice sometimes to get into something like that.

So it turns out I stayed up until dawn playing Arkham City. This marks the first time in years that I've done that with a game. I guess we'll see if I'm as close to the end as I think I am.
I also just got done watching Rocky II, which I actually like better than the original. Watching III next. I actually have never seen any of the original five Rocky movies until now that Netflix has them. I did catch bits and pieces of them and of course knew about them growing up, but the first Rocky movie I actually saw all the way through was Rocky Balboa in theaters. That's the sixth one. I loved the first two as dramas, but now I'm excited to see the campy III and IV and finally find out what the hell V is about.
The other news is, as I found out reading rmsk8r08's blog ... earlier today (?), Platinum Games will be developing a Legend of Korra game, which made me cum with excitement. That's graphic, I know, and I also found out season/book 3 of the actual cartoon Legend of Korra debuts today! And I'm ... skeptically optimistic about that after the mixed bag that was season 2. Still though, I freakin' love me some Avatar lore, so I'll watch the whole season as it's posted on nickelodeon.com regardless. I need to read those comics too. I'm proud of my ex and her fiancee for naming their new puppy border collie Korra. Speaking of which, I need to see that dog. That is a cute-ass dog.
And that's all for now. Off to Rocky III.
I saw some of the Rocky movies in the theater. What I don't get was that the people in the audience would cheer for Rocky. Come on, folks, it's just a movie.
I never got into the Avatar and Koora cartoons (not enough time), but some of my little brothers love them. I have respect for those cartoons, though, because there's not a lot of action adventure cartoons out there like they used to be. There's a good chance I'll probably get to review the Korra game, too.
Yeah, I never gave much thought to Mad Hatter, but after hearing his tapes with Hugo Strange, I'd love to see a thriller with Hatter as the villain. I like how mature the themes are with the villains too.
I like III, that's actually one I probably saw most of on TV. I still prefer I and II and II is still my favorite, but I dig the ending to III and it wasn't quite as campy as IV. I'm going on to V after I read all my messages here and then I will have seen all six Rocky movies. I'll likely re-listen to Spoony and Brad/Cinema Snob discuss all the movies again too.
It is pretty funny, but what I busted my gut laughing at more than anything was that extremely homoerotic workout montage where Rocky and Apollo Creed start smiling and hugging each other real big in the water on the beach. In all honesty, it's the one time I got real suspense from a Rocky movie. You pretty much know what will happen in all the other ones, but that scene really had me on the edge of my seat wondering if they were gonna blow each other right then and there.
Thunder Lips Hulk Hogan and Mr. T are funny too though. lol
The Rocky movies are on Netflix now? Hmm. I've never actually seen any of them but would like to.
I've been sitting on a copy of Arkham City for...man, maybe two years? It's sad. Too many games! Arkham Asylum was sure good though. The move to open world for City worries me a little bit because I'm not generally a fan of those sorts of games.
Cool news about Platinum Games. I've sure they're just doing a licensed game to help pay the bills but I'm also they'll still crank out an awesome game. That's what they do
That is exactly what I said to myself about the Rocky movies a couple days ago and now I have watched and enjoyed them all. Bit bummed they don't have the sixth one, but I saw that before anyway, so oh well.
City is only as open-world as you make it. It's quite a bit like Asylum, just bigger.
It will certainly help with bills, but I imagine it's also a passion project. Avatar is a great and beloved series and I'm sure nothing like that Shamalyan movie will happen here cause, y'know, Platinum Games seems to still know what the hell they're doing.
Wow that is a long time to play a game. I think the last time I did something like that was with Tomb Raider II in college. Still haven't beaten the damn game. As for Arkham City, one day I'll get back to it.
I like the Rocky flicks, I think I've seen them all except for the most recent one. I did like the cheesy Rocky V
