I'm loving Valiant Hearts

I decided to pick this game up and I'm really glad I did.

I thought I'd check it out for a bit today and according to Uplay I'm 25% into it.

It combines fun puzzles with a little bit of 2D action plus a touching story and a history lesson. Frankly if you told me I'd be loving a game that contained a history lesson I would have laughed at you. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

This is the kind of game that keeps me playing games. I'll be playing some more tomorrow.

I've been hearing a lot of things about Valiant Hearts here at PixlBit.

Have you tried Shovel Knight?

you should play it, Cary.  It would be a good one for Gamerdad.  Very childlike, but educational.

The WW1 setting is one of the reasons I want Valiant Hearts.

I just beat it and am working on completing all the achievements on 360. I really enjoyed it, but puzzlers sometimes make me curse like a sailor. . . and rhythm games. Yes, there's some rhythm game stuff in it as well. I loved using the dog to solve puzzles or find items as well. I'm reminded of the Oddworld games in the way the puzzles play out. I also read every last detail on items you find, all the diaries, and all the descriptions of history. There were a few things I never knew before that made me think. I'll save that for a spoilerific blog.
