So whats everyone's opinion on this, it is a good thing or bad? Does it upset you its not Borderlands 3 or are you happy its a new IP?

Im personally happy for a new IP, I love me some Borderlands but I think they need to give it somewhat of a break. I say somewhat because were still getting 2 games in the borderlands franchise later this year. I think at some point we will see a Borderlands 3 but this will atleast give them a break to relax from that so they can come back with some good ideas on where to go with the series. This apparently wont release till 2015*Thought it was 2016 but actually 2015* so its still got a ways to go in development but hopefully that means there will be a lot of content for it. Its also the cover story for the next gameinformer and speaking of that for anyone who gets its digital like I do the new one should be up later today. Print subscribers wont see it for another few weeks still.

That looks great. I'll have to read more about in in Game Informer if my digital sub hasn't run out by now.

Julys wasnt bad, they did the new Far Cry for the cover story. I never actually got around to playing that series though so I didnt read much on it.

Thank God it's not another damn Borderlands. I am sick of hearing about those games. Maybe I wouldn't be if I played them, but still.

Lol, Borderlands driving you crazy Joe? I do recommend giving them a shot. I understand how it could get annoying though.

At the beginning I was thinking Avatar. By the end I was thinking it was basically very similar to Borderlands, different character classes and such, but in a new world with even more cartoon-like graphics. I'm excited to see what they do with characters and story. I love the Borderlands universe, the humor, and the characters. I'm sure we'll get more of the same with Battleborn.

I think we will def get a similar experiance but i am excited to see what they might do thats completely new with it. They have done well with Borderlands so hopefully they do well with this new IP.

Well on the note of Borderlands...

The Pre-Sequel is coming out relatively soon, so yeah, there is more on the way in terms of that game!

But yeah, I'm excited to see a new IP on the horizon. I'm really excited to catch some potential gameplay footage though mostly.

I doubt gameplay footage is far off now, Gameinformers cover story is over the game so I def think we will see a gameplay video here soon. Im excited for the gameplay footage as well ^_^

Im not big on MOBA myself but this game has def caught my eye. Ill be happy once actual gameplay is shown!

Gearbox has proven they can make a fun co-op rpg style shooter so this should be good. Not too familiar with the moba genre but I'll be down if I got a PS4 by then. Yeah with the BLpreseq just around the corner there is no rush for BL3. Especially if they pile on the dlc like they did with BL2. I have been playing BL2 from day one and I'm still playing.lol
