I've played some of Destiny. No really I did.

Me not being an FPS guy and all and I'm playing Destiny courtesy of Darthkill's extra code.

First off, the FPS parts don't make me want to puke. Literally. I do not feel the seasickness that usually accompanies those kind of games.

Secondly while my run around shooting randomly at anything that moves without actually aiming has caused several respawns I seem to be learning my lesson.

I just killed an Archon and got to level 3. Yeah me, I killed an old chess style game that I used to have to the C64. He certainly didn't look like that. Thankfully I only died once in the darkness and figured out that I could run and hide and move to different positions. This is a step up from yelling Bonzai! and wasting bullets shooting at air.

Why was it a Japanese custom to yell the name of a dwarf tree before committing suicide by crashing into the enemy?

Its fun....but ultimately, for me anyway, Destiny will probably have little staying power. Im actually seriously considering transferring my pre order money over to Borderlands Pre Sequel. ...I picked Borderlands 2 back up last night and had more fun with it

I have both Borderlandses :D I've only played an hour of the first one. I should probably revisit those games.

Anyway I'm glad that I got to experience Destiny first hand. Frankly it doesn't feel like anything revolutionary but I should give it more time. I'm sure the multiplayer will do well with the kill, die, respawn rinse, repeat crowd.

Yes that's exactly what I meant but when I typed it in as Bonsai I thought I'd leave it there and make a dumb comment about it. It's what I do. :D

I started playing it last night. It's good. The gunplay feels nice, but the game itself feels pretty blah for me. It seems to have very little personality, at least in the first hour or so. I'm glad I didn't have any hopes pinned on it, as I'll probably give it a pass.
