So on a whim, I tried signing into my super-old GOG account that I didn't even know still worked...and was able to sign in. I had this little gem from a far-back purchase waiting for me:

never played the first two. I have em through GOG. I tried playing some GOG games yesterday but they didn't play nice with windows 8.1. I bet there's work arounds, I just haven't tried them yet.

shit....I didn't even think about how my OS would handle this game. I also have 8.

I bought Fallout from GOG last year. I tried playing it a few weeks ago and couldn't get into it. Moving around and attacking was too much trouble. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I doubt you were going about it wrong; I'm havin a bit of trouble with the dated control system myself.

I want to try out this game too. Moreso now tha tI have a computre that might actually play it. Plus I heard they released a three pack of this game series on CD. One day perhaps, one day.

I played for an hour or so yesterday, just to get a feel for it. I'm pretty sure that were I to sink more time in the controls wouldn't be such a factor.
