PS4 Last of Us Remaster bundle for Canada

On July 29th Canada gets a LoS PS4 bundle for $449.99.

Here's the official word.

You 'Muricans are probably thinking BFD, that's not so great.

For Canadians though it kind of takes the sting out of the extra 50 bucks we have to pay for the PS4 up here in the land of ice and snow.

Yes folks in Canada as soon as our dollar slips even the tiniest bit below the Yankee dollah they arbitrarily tack X% more even for stuff they bought before the change

For example we pay an extra 5 bucks for games at the 40, 50 and 60 dollar level corresponding to premiums of around 12%,10% and 8% . On the PS4 it's around 10% and in Ontario they tack an extra 13% on for taxes. That means that to get a PS4 out the door in Ontario costs us over $508 without a game.

In the world of fluxuating currency it's bound to go up again but it will take them forever to lower prices back to what they should be.

Far be it for me to praise M$ for anything but at least the XB1 is still at $399 and $499 depending on whether you enjoy doing the Elaine dance in front of your telly or not.

I really would like a PS4 but the time isn't right yet. Thoe white Destiny versions are beautiful though.

I owe my credit card around what a PS4 costs, so that's gonna be a while ... stupid rent, food, electricity, and car payments.

Nope still too expensive just for a few exclusives that I don't care for at the moment, or aren't even out yet. Besides I need to save up money for a PC for October/November.

I'm practicing it to get some laughs from friends. You got the hands going, the legs kicking and the head jerking around.

The first reaction to Elaine's dance from Kramer in that episode is priceless. He looks absolutely terrified. Michael Richards is such a good physical comedian.

Nice to see the Last of Us make it in Canada. No word on the Destiny bundle yet?

Oh we get the Destiny bundle here too. It's just the PS4 version of the Last of Us that we get bundled with a plain PS4 for the same price as the console alone.

I've had the PS3 version since a couple of weeks after it came out. I haven't played it yet though.
