I'm only Gold. I gain coins pretty slowly so I usually miss out on these giveaways anyway.

I use to get only gold status and I kind of wish that was the case this year. I dont think it would have been that hard of a hit at that point. After getting that soundtrack last year Ive been determined to get platnium. I know better now.

Oh I agree, Nintendo's rewards have gradually sucked more over the years.  The first year I remember getting a Platinum award was when they were giving out those neat figurines that had all the Mario characters standing together.  Then next year it was a Mario button set, which only the packaging was cool on that.  And then it was the Majora's soundtrack which I did get, too.  But this year it's just one free digital game?  If it were two or three I'd be OK, but just one?  I should've picked EarthBound because even though I didn't like that game as a kid, I'm willing to give it a second chance.  But no, I have family in my house who love the Dr. Mario games, so I downloaded Dr. Luigi for them.  Sometimes I just can't help thinking of others.  I think Nintendo is gradually getting away from doing phyiscal prizes you can win and buy, which is too bad.  Since I review games and buy nearly every Nintendo game they make, I don't have any problems getting enough coins, though.

I got Earthbound, I figured I might enjoy it and everyone that has played it has talked pretty highly of it. Well its nice to know Im not the only one disappointed. I agree with you that if they were gonna do digital that they should give out more then one game. Thats one of the things that makes you awesome Cary, you think of others ^_^

Donkey Kong Country Returns was a pretty good deal. Didn't see anything else

I owned Donkey Kong Returns before so I didnt really care to own it again digital. I ended up with Earthbound on the Wii U. Donkey Kong is a good deal those for those who dont own it now or was wanting to rebuy it.

I own the physical so now I can sell it. Would have picked Earthbound but no Wii U

I can see why you'd be dissapointed.  Personally, I don't care about anything like figures or game soundtracks, so I'm fine with digital games.  I was a little dissapointed about the offerings though.  I got Donkey Kong Country Returns simply because it was the greatest deal.  I'd rather have the NES remix (I already owned a few of the others, including eartbound), but it is already so cheap that I'd just rather buy it.

This was my first year with club nintendo and  I now realize I made a mistake with registering my stuff. I just signed up a couple weeks before the platinum close-off date in order to get the free game with Mario Kart 8.  Since I signed up I went ahead and registered every Wii U, 3Ds, DS, and Wii game I own, which quickly pushed me into way over Platinum level.  I now realize that I should have only registered a few, and then registered the rest after the cut-off date so that I would already be platinum for the next year.  Oh well..

Well there is a plethora of games to be released this next half of the year on Nintendo consoles so I dont think making platnium will be hard this year. Well that is if you interested in what their releasing,lol. So i wouldnt worry to much about registaring all the games. I think if the offerings had been games of more value i wouldnt be so disappointed. Ill just keep that in mind this year while making my purchases. Sadly Im gonna miss out on the Mario Kart deal but I am still aiming to pick it up sometime this year.

When I hit platinum I thought I was going to get some cool physical copy of a soundtrack but when I saw the list of freebies I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong it's cool to get a free game but what I saw from last year's selection I was a bit jealous that I didn't get the same type of prizes to choose from.

Last year it just felt like it was worth it. Im hopeing that it wont be digital games every year now. If they are they need to add some of the bigger titles to atleast platnium status rewards.

I get what you're saying, but I was going to buy Game and Wario eventually and now I don't need to, so I'm happy.

I honestly wasnt really planning to buy any of the titles offered. One I had already owned physical at one point which was Donkey Kong Returns. However Earthbound isnt so bad but at the same time I dont get why it was so popular either. I guess since I didnt play it when it released originally I wont.

I cannot say that I disagree.  After seeing the cool stuff I ended up missing out on last year, I was a little disappointed to see that there was no awesome collectables this year.

It was def a blow to me on the selection this year, I had kind of hoped for another soundtrack type item this year. I guess maybe next year will prove better, hopefully anyway.

I don't disagree with you, the rewards were pretty lacking this year.
