Dragpm's Crown is pretty decent...but Odin Sphere blows it out of the water
I didn't have as much fun with DC as I'd have liked. You may get more mileage out of it than I did, Peter.

I've actually played something on PC for over 6 hours in 2 days. This has got to be a record for me.
I'm paying attention to the battle system this time and hopefully won't spend as much time dying as I did in the PSP version.
There's definitely a deep story in this game which I'm finding great after the simple story in Rainbow Moon and the almost no story of Etrian Odyssey IV.
Another thing I love about this game is the music. I'm playing with headphones on in a game with no voice acting save battle cries just to hear the music. Sometimes I can actually drift away for a few minutes and do nothing while it plays.
Since I've been sitting here with headphones and gamepad I've tried a few other games. I played a bit of Trine Enchanted Edition. I never played the disenchanted version so I can't really comment on improvements. Suffice it to say it looks cool and seems like a cool game.
Anyway we'll see how long I play games on PC before the console room starts to call. If this clicks maybe Last Remnant will get some love. You never know.
Next month I get to check out Dragon's Crown courtesy of PSN+ so that may drag me away for a while. Then there's Rainbow Moon to finish and Etrian Odyssey to slowly chip away at.
It's now in the Humble bundle as of a couple of days ago. I already have it on Steam but for less than 9 bucks you can get it and a bunch of other games. If they'd have offered something more interesting than 5 Hitman games it might have gone for it. As it is now Mini Ninjas is the only draw and I'm not paying 9 bucks for that.
I haven't played far enough that I can say Yay or Nay about whether it is a must play. I played it a bit on PSP before but I got sidetracked. It does feel odd playing an old school JRPG like this on a PC but the fact is I'm still playing so I'm going to see where it takes me.
I hear that game is great in the music department. I've just been slow to get this game after slogging thru Twilight of the Moonlight Witch. when I eventually get to this game I'll be sure to use my PSP's TV out cable and see how it fars on my gamerig 3 or my destop PC monitor, along with using decent headphones.
The Legend of Heroes will be one of my few forays into PC gaming.... as soon as I replace my wheezing computer. I'll probably go for the GOG version. I always buy GOG over Steam when that choice exists. Also, don't forget, the Second Chapter is supposedly coming in the near future, and I don't think that one has ever been released over here yet.
And I loved Dragon's Crown. Got more playtime last year than any game other than Ni no Kuni.
