Trails in the Sky, the Saga Continues

Most of you know that I am playing this game on PC right now and strangely I have no bailed and gone back to my consoles yet.

There are some things I must impart to those of you who may also think to venture down this path.

The temporary freezing continue. I thought that the patch they released last week would take care of that but sadly no. No discernable pattern. you can press a button and then sit there for 30 seconds before dialog moves on. You can be in the middle of a battle and it happens. Then you can go for an hour without a problem.

Do not even attempt to play this game unless you are cool with a lot of reading. It is extremely text heavy.

The difficulty ramps up quickly and you can die easily, especially if you get caught by a surprise attack. Yes you can usually see enemies before they see you but sometimes you run past a bush and they blindside you. move slowly and if you see something, try to creep up from behind. Right after you leave Bose there are some big Birdy things  that show up and can hit you for half your health.

Still enjoying it. I'll report more as it happens

I wonder if I can download it to my PSP....the UMD reader doesn't work in it anymore.

If you've got a big enough memory card. I don't think it's that big on PSP. I can check when I get home.

It's a little under 1.2 GB so it's not tiny but these days that's nothing.

Right now for me it's either this game or one of the games in the Ys series that I'm interested in trying out on my PSP. Hopefully this game won't keep you away from your consoles for much longer....

After work these past two days, I don't want to hear about computers freezing. I like a good IT challenge, but sometimes I just want shit to work. I have the same rationale for wanting a console that Apple fanpersons do for buying Macs. I don't care that it's not as "open," I just want the thing to do the basic things I want it to do.

I've been interested in this game awhile. I believe I intially held off because it was the first game in a series but its' sequels had not been localized at the time it came out on the psp. Still,a good Jrpg is a good Jrpg! I might have to reconsider my stance.

It's really good but text heavy and it's no walk in the park. I just realized that I missed a ton of quests already. You definitely do no rush this game.
