Quick Hits: Two QH In A Week Is Madness

Good morning Pixlbit! It is Friday, a little warm here in Sunny Southern California, and the summer is starting to wind down. I’m forcing myself to eat oatmeal in the morning, and after years of hating the texture…it isn’t bad now. Of course I’m eating the brown sugar flavored oatmeal with some honey. Well I can take one food off the hate list at least. Anyways since it is Friday, why not have another Quick Hits? Yes the ultra rare double Quick Hits in one week. Kinda weird, but it’s all good. Let’s get started!
Chris Visits The Doctor
That’s me!
So I paid a visit to a new doctor, and after spending 20 minutes on filling out paperwork, get the vitals checked out, it was time to see the doctor. Apparently the diet is less than ideal (but she was impressed that I cut out my favorites: caffeine, and fast food, while drinking tons of water). I do need to mix in exercise so I will use the neighborhood gym…and of course the pool. I want to drop the extra pounds, and this is a good way for me to earn more of those Nintendo Gold Coins for the random Mii games.
Chris Has A Tumblr?
Apparently I still do because I got this notification in my e-mail
I didn’t really do anything with it other than post my Instagram pictures there as well. Heck I never really use it to begin with. I tried visiting other people’s pages and it’s just .gifs, music, and random pictures grabbed from each other. I might be too old for this stuff because I have no idea why this is fun.
A Farmer, Cows, and Lorde
So I saw this video last week, and I thought it was cool. A farmer decides to play Royals by Lorde and all of a sudden his cows show up. I like to think that the cows are probably thinking, “hey that human is doing something that sounds funny, let’s go watch”.
Chris Celebrates Left Handed Day!
My people have a day! Once again we need more left handed desks in school because those dang things are gold…GOLD I TELL YA! Like I said on Facebook, I now wait for decent scissors.
Brazilian Guy With A Crazy Record Collection
I remember reading about the guy back east who was selling his massive collection, and it turns out this guy bought it…along with other massive collections to have one big ass collection of vinyl. It’s insane about the amount of music he has, and there is no way he could listen to every album but I am glad about the direction he has taken. Interesting read.
Thinking about it, if I had the cash, and time, I would try something like this, but certainly not at this scale.
Google Play Rankings
So I didn’t really notice this until I got a notification that I hit Level 15 in my Google Rankings for Android games. Think of it like your Gamerscore on XBox, or Playstation Rank
Judging from the stats I do a lot of racing on Android devices. The funny thing is that I don’t have any score from trivia games. I should try and change this.
Binge Watching Top Chef
So I’ve slowed down from my weekend of Top Chef. I’m still one episode away from finishing off the season in Seattle, which now is in Alaska. One of the judges started the Kogi food truck, which is freaking awesome! It’s a mix of Korean and Mexican food and I still follow them on Twitter even though I am nowhere near their area of operation. If you are in LA or Orange County, and they are nearby, hit them up!
Chris and his Stanford Class
With one week to go
I’ve officially passed the course. I just saw that Week 6 has been posted and I will probably get to it later on today. Overall the class was interesting, I learned some new things, some of the coding is still a little fuzzy to me especially when I try to write my own, but this is probably do to me not using it.
Well Pixlbit it’s time we end our little catching up period. I have some music pickups but I’m too lazy to edit photos, but I am currently listening to an album I bought, and it is surprisingly not bad. Anyways have a good one Pixlbit, and same old story, I’m behind in reading your blogs and responses. We’ll fix this!
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
Update: To you folks who are getting ready for your school’s band camps I say good luck, bring lots of water, and a big hat. College band camp had its moments where it was fun, but the marching in the sun when it was hot sucked.
