New Dark Souls DLC Impression

Okay, so I've sunk a little bit of time into the new DLC that came out today, and holy shit, it's awesome. Much better than the previous DLC at any rate. I mean the scenery alone is fantastic! This area looks great! Everything is covered in ash, and the background looks like a brighter version of what we saw in King's Keep.

While the new enemy types aren't overly difficult to fight singularly, when grouped they are a bitch. There's an enemy that throws a magical bow into the air that can shoot over obstacles!

I'm at the second bonfire right now, but have not encountered a boss yet. I know where it is, but I'm not quite ready for it just yet. However, I have uncovered a fucking sweet ring that gives you 5 Dexterity! It's pretty dope. Although I might come back to the dlc a bit later with my new character that I'm building, since they nerfed faith casting this character isn't amazing anymore.

Anyway, I'm really digging this DLC. It feels like Dark Souls.It's awesome.

No, haha I wasn't clear enough in the blog. This is just the character who is at the best level to complete the DLC, and she was my faith character. My other is one that uses power stance curved swords and bows.

So far it really hasn't been that hard. I've died a few times but that was more my own stupidity. It's a lot easier than the other DLC.

Damn I still havent even got Dark Souls 2 yet and traded Demons Souls And Dark Souls a while back like a dumb ass durrrrrr what was I thinking lol!! But I will get all 3 soon as well as the dlc so Blake did you ever play The Last of Us and if so what was your opinion of it??

Haha. Just wrote an article on Plus10Damage about it. I love it but feel it's a touch too long, which in my opinino damages the narrative somewhat. However, apart from that it's fucking astonishing.
