$12 for 16 new tracks sounds like a pretty good deal to me. If all you care about it is the ability to play as Link and the Animal Crossing character then I guess it is a waste of money.
Backlog Blog: Don't Call it a Comeback!

So I've been eerily quiet in the months away. I think it's because I work 6 days a week for 12 hour days sometimes....nah...that's not it lol Anyways first I want to congratulate XDarthKillX...for the inquiry in getting a free club Nintendo gold game from me since I didn't have a use for it...hopefully it worked out for you.
So because of work I have a huge backlog of things to talk about. First, I would like to take the time to scold Nintendo a bit. Your DLC announcement for Mario Kart 8 is $12 too much. I thought perhaps that it was all too good to be true. First the free game, then free Mercedes-Benz DLC, then you hit me with the whammy. Why not just have a Super Nintendo Kart already? I shouldn't have to pay for Zelda and Animal Crossing characters in addition to 8 different color swaps of Yoshi and Shy Guy. Now I know what you're going to say...it's the industry nowadays.
Well guess what...I HATE DLC...I hate when it is already on disc and you have to pay extra for it...and I hate demos being passed into retail for money. I hate games that get HD remasters from something that literally is still pretty damn recent. Oh and Tales of Xillia 2...I hate you too.
Xillia 2 is a good game. Don't get me wrong the battle system is fluid, I love the characters, etc. But it's a lazy effort from Namco Bandai. It's not as lazy as say Tales of Symphonia's sequel Dawn of the New World...but it can be quite irratating. While the problem with DoTNW was the main characters, terrible story, and recycled environments...Xillia 2 introduces a debt system and recycled environments. I find it...tedious...That's about the best way I can sum it up. Sure it has good aspects about it by offering you alternatives to things you may not have initially done and that's fine and dandy....but you make a grindfest rpg even more grindy.
Meanwhile, I've got Hyrule Warriors reserved...to put this into perspective...I haven't reserved a Dynasty Warriors style game ever. Heck I don't even play Warrior games. In fact I have only 2. One is Samurai Warriors 3...and Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper....both together maybe cost me $20. Again I'm not counting Samurai Warriors:Katana...because that was just a failed awful experiment. Stick to what you know Tecmo Koei!
Other than that I guess that I just have to work on my backlog of games. I have like 8 to beat before I even think about getting more games, but that probably won't stop me. Anyways thanks for reading. Comments and feedback are always appreciated!
