HUNT Horrors of the Gilded Age (CRYTEK) makers of Darksiders

upcoming free-to-play video game being developed by Crytek Frankfurt, to be released for PlayStation 4Xbox One and Microsoft Windows in late-2014. Set in the 19th century, the game will be a co-operative third person shooter mixed with elements of survival horror and action RPGs.

Its like Left 4 Dead and Order 1886, but honestly feel alot like Resident Evil 4. I only heard about it now, when I was researching horror games. It was announced this past June, and it is supposed to be Free to Play on new gen systems and PC.

The game looks pretty good to me? But I'm not a dev so it might just be renderings. I think it's a nice departure from post apocolypse zombie games. I like the western shooter/horror swamp idea. I read something about the studio having some kind of issues and went silent for a while, but their site is still up. Interesting...

I've never really thought about this before, but you'd think more horror games would be set in swamplands given the whole Louisiana-voodoo thing. I bet there's a lot of interesting stuff you could do with that setting.

Left 4 Dead already has a level like this. Also, I think Dead Island Riptide takes place in a swampy area too, but I haven't tried it. This is supposed to be more like Left 4 Dead, but it really looks and feels like Resident Evil, in other words-- I'm super stoked for this!!!

Makes me hope for a modern remake of Bayou Billy!

This has been catching my eye for a while now.

What started it for me was the name; I thought it was going to be a sequel to Hunter: The Gathering, but I was wrong. Still looks good though!

Looks a lot like The Order 1886. I'm all for this though, whenever I join the current gen that is.

I'm wary of this free-to-play push on consoles. It will be interesting to see how they monetize this one. Looks cool.
