Two Seasons in Little More Than Two Months?

I mean it sucks that the TV ratings weren't up to snuff (although the online numbers apparently did quite well, hence why it got moved to strictly there) but this is some damn good news for me as a consumer as well as great motivation to meet my thesis deadlines around this time so I can watch this as a reward.

Guess we'll see where this is going sooner than later.

I blame myself for not trying harder to watch this series on TV. But if it helps keep you focuses then all the power to you.

Well, all three available seasons are streaming online now, so you don't have to watch it on TV.

I don't have time or attention span to watch TV, but this is what i would watch if I could.

No one has time for TV, video games, movies, books or anything else really, we all just kinda shoehorn it in there so we don't go insane.

yeah but it's mostly the attention span thing.  I have a hard time sitting down and focusing on TV or movies.

I know what you mean about having to follow a TV show. I always preferred comedies, cause they're still enjoyable if you missed a week and I could never keep up with a series on TV. I watch more dramas now though. Netflix makes it easy to go at my own pace.

Having said that, I think I will try to follow both Gotham and The Legend of Korra as well as Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers games. I don't really count sports though. I can do other things with the game on. I imagine you're the same since you like football.

I have a harder time paying attention to books than movies. I know that makes me sound dumb, but if there's a bad section of a movie there's still something else to visually keep my attention. A bad section of a book simply has to be endured on its own before it gets going again, and sometimes I just don't have the patience. I want to read more outside of just Master's coursework, but due to the plain, black&white-text-only nature of books, I get distracted from them more easily.

I think I get what you mean though. I definitely have to limit the number of TV series I can watch, cause there's so many people recommend really highly, but only so many I'm willing to devote time to.

I can't read either, man.  that's even worse.  And I used to love reading!  I have a bookshelf of all these books I want to read but I can't do it.  But I'm going to buy a new couch soon, and my hope is that with a couch in my room, I'll be tempted to relax and read.

I want to follow Gotham too.

I actually enjoy reading at night laying down with just a small light on. I want to read the rest of The Fault in Our Stars, cause John Green and I seem to share the same dry and snarky sense of humor and I love how the first chapter is written. The character's inner voice sounds a lot like mine as a teen, only I didn't have a vagina or lung cancer to deal with. I also want to read Divergent, cause ... I mean, I bought it, so I may as well.

So I hope that couch helps you with reading.

I was ecstatic when I saw that Gotham was on FOX while I was watching either the Texans or Cowboys game Sunday. I thought it was on NBC, which I don't get for whatever reason.

I watched all the episodes I could on TV, no thanks to whoever it was at Nick that was in charge of advertising the show. The move to being online only is a bit of a bummer since my laptop's extremely temperamental, but I'll tough it out to support a show I like.

I gave serious thought to cable packages just so I could watch the show. I'd be pissed had I not decided that was way too expensive compared to just finding the episodes online.

I'll definitely be buying the DVDs and hopefully the original series' DVDs at some point to support the creators.

What I'd really love to see is an Avatar event movie, animated and with the same cast and crew behind it as the show, kinda like that DBZ movie that came out recently.

Well, I need to do a binge on Korra one of these days. Sadly, because Nick.com doesn't allow people outside the US, guess i'll settle for free video sites.

That's where I was watching it before Nick started streaming it online again.

I stopped watching Korra a while back.  I still hadn't seen anything from season 3 or 2 yet and I have a coupe episodes from season 1 to watch.  I have season 1 on dvd and I'll probably pick up season 2 before the year is out.

Be prepared for some weird character choices in season 2. I really enjoyed it overall, especially the introduction of Verrick (sp?) and the explanation of the avatar cycle's origins (which I thought was a lot like Disney's Aladdin story-wise and has an awesome art style), but there are some things that Lin Beifong and Korra do that are ... questionable. Even for Korra. I was more bothered with some of the stupid shit Lin did, cause stupid decisions just aren't supposed to be something her character does, in my opinion. At least with Korra, you get that she's a hot head, so it's not that far-fetched, but Lin? Lin should know better.

Damn.  I guess I should prepare myself for some annoying bits.  From what I remember of season 1, I liked Lin more than Korra.

The good news is season 2 has some of the best comedy in the entire series/some of the best overall episodes and season 3 is definitely one of the best I've seen in Avatar, so it ends up being worth the odd choices in season 2 in my book.
