Hello pixlbit

I was a long time lurker on 1up.com. About the time I decided to participate, the site went defunct. Wondering aimlessly around the interwebs, I found pixlbit. Lo and behold, I recognized many folks here from 1up. I decided to hang my hat a bit and see what happens.

Apparently, I have many of you at the disadvantage. I recognize you, you have never had the opportunity to see me. Hopefully, I can rectify that one. :)

A bit about me.

I first came into gaming as a wee lad on the 2600. My favorite genre and system over the years were RPG's on the SNES, though I have grown to love a wide array of games and systems.

I hope to post my thoughts here on games I am currently playing. I don't want to call them "reviews" because they will probably not be that structured. They will shoot straight though, be that good or bad.

Hopefully I can make some friends here who can make sense of my nonsense.

I look forward to be a part of this "new beginning" many of you are taking on.

Good to see you came out of the shadows instead of just creeping around us 1uppers :P Great to hear you're a SNES era RPG fan!  Those are probably 90% of my lifesblood, so that's already some bonus points coming in your direction!  Welcome to PIxlBit, keep all arms and hands inside the ride until it comes to a complete stop, and enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the welcome!  I actually wrote this a few weeks ago and just now learned how to make it "live".

welcome to Pixlbit.  I grew up with the 2600 too.  But I never had a SNES -- my JRPG glory days were on the PSONE.

welcome!

The PS1 had some awesome jrpg's as well.  It kinda carried on the SNES tradition in my opinion.

Welcome!  I was a longtime lurker on 1up as well, but have started blogging on PB.  Big fan of the SNES era RPGs, myself.   You might be interested to check out my Quest to Play All the Final Fantasy Games posts.  This Friday is Final Fantasy 2/4 for SNES. Glad to have you on board!

One of us! One of us! One of us!

Seriously though, welcome to the site. Since you popped up a little later than the other former 1uppers, here's our official welcome thread.

Thankyou.  Yes, PS1 had some great rpgs.  I think that is the era a lot of people became more exposed to them, which is a good thing.
