A lot of Destiny and finally playing Chrono Trigger.

Hello Pixlbit! I've been put on a hiatus on here because of Destiny. I have been playing this game every single day since its release. I've already completed the story and just continue to build my Warlock up. I've dabbled with the Hunter and Titan just to try them out. I can't tell you how many hours I've sunk into this game because I lost track.

Anyways, I only have one game for my weekly pick ups for this post and that is Chrono Trigger for the DS. I've heard many things about this game. A lot of people say it's THE best RPG for the handhelds, best SquareEnix title, has a very unique and legendary soundtrack etc. I didn't think much about this game when I first heard it because I thought it was just a hyped up game that every RPG lover praises. When one of my friends showed me a gameplay video of it earlier this year, I didn't like the graphics or gameplay at all so I never gave it a shot.

This past weekend, I went to Disneyland and the following day went to a mall that just happens to have a GameStop. So I figured, why not check what kind of things I can find here that I may not find back at home. It was just the typical games that you would usually see. I checked the DS section and there it was. A pre-owned copy of Chrono Trigger with the case. I thought "Wow. Didn't think they would have the case for this game since everybody says the game is so rare and hard to find." So I decided to take the chance and buy it to try it out.

Once I started it, it seemed pretty slow to me at first. Graphics weren't too bad in person. Kinda reminded me of Castlevania in a way. Gameplay comes up and the fighting mechanics are somewhat like FF but also slightly different. I get more into the story and I find myself putting in an hour into the game without noticing. I tell you what (Hank Hill haha) if I could take my words back earlier this year about the game I would. I really don't know what draws me into this game.

Alright fellow people of Pixlbit, I'm jumping back into Destiny. I'm still debating whether to get Disney Infinity next Tuesday or just wait a few months so most of the sets will be released. I know for a fact I'm getting Forza Horizon 2. The demo is just pure driving fun. Can't decide whether to get the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition though.

Have a great weekend everyone! Happy gaming and....

BEYOND!

My friend at work is bummed I don't have Destiny yet. Just can't spend right now. My other friend has his gamer tag fixed now, so this weekend will probably see me in EDF 2025 again. I'm psyched for Borderlands The Presequel, but I don't know if I want to get two copies. It would be pointless for me to have it and not my friend. We'll see about that.

Borderlands is also good to play solo. On launch week of Borderlands 2, I had a group of friends who played this game every day. We helped each other level up and what not. Eventually we all started to go ahead of each other and just didn't play as much together compared to solo. So I would buy the game anyways. And if your friend ends up buying it later on, you can always start a new character and play with that one co-op.

Chrono Trigger is great.  I've never finished it though.  I need to pick up the DS version myself and finish it up.

Enjoy Destiny!

I almost bought the PS version when it was on sale. Glad I bought the DS version. Need to build up my DS library.

those PS ports of those old RPG's are slow.  You definitely got the better version.

Chrono Trigger is very good.  One of the best SNES RPGs.  DS port is spot on.

A lot of people think this game is one of the best. I can see why!

I've played through Chrono Trigger several times and it never gets old. I remember the first time I played it was the PS1 version which was part of Final Fantasy Chronicles.

What I love about it is that I never got the feeling I was playing an old game.

I bought it on DS when it came out. That version is the best.

I read that the DS version is the best one to get so I'm glad I was able to find a copy. I'm loving the game so far.
