Im a huge fan of all flight sims on PC to Android to consoles but my favorite series on consoles is the Air Conflicts series Air Conflicts Secret Wars is a awesome game but my favorite would be Pacific Carriers something about the look & feel of the game just makes me feel like im in WW2 during the island hopping campaigns and the way they make the levels are really good you take off from a carrier and when your squadron approaches the island whether its Wake, Midway Iwo Jimma etc you go in with your fighters and by the way your pilots gain experience and the more they have the higher there skills and some becomes Aces anyway you gain air superiority and after you clear the enemy fighters then comes your Dive Bombers to knock out fuel tanks, Hangars, Radar etc.then after all your objectives are complete in comes your torpedoe planes to finish off Japans Carriers, Destroyers, LVCs etc, its so addicting and never gets boring or repetitive.

The Water effects and plane models look very impressive

You know critics will tell you Birds of Steel is the best and although graphics wise and controls yes it is, but my issue with Birds of Steel is its campaign and mission set up is just terrible what Pacific Carriers has is a kinda strategy aspect to where you actually level your pilots and carry them over to the next mission, so it gives you that personal connection to where you care about keeping your aces safe to where Birds of Steel a suicide run into a carrier is no big deal.

As you can see you feel like your in the Pacific

Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers combines authentic Second World War settings and a fictitious story that will lead the player through the Arcade-Flight-Action. The starting point for all the flight missions in the campaign is an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, which the player commands as the captain of the ship. The player decides at the beginning of the game whether to engage in battle under the flag of the US Navy or the Japanese Imperial Fleet. In Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers the battles are also fought in the air, e.g. Pearl Harbor, Midway and Wake Island. Instead of individual aircraft, here the player can control entire squadrons and switch between them during the mission. Various single and multiplayer modes will guarantee long-lasting game fun.

So anyway despite the mediocre reveiws and the talk of it being buggy etc it is all false, the game looks and plays excellent and is one of my favorite flight sims, yes its a cross between Arcade and sim but for a console its a sim as well and definitely one I highly recommend.

I don't really get into flight sims.  Unless you count Pilotwings and Snoopy vs. the Red Baron.

I dig games that are are between the sims and arcade flight sims, and this is something I would try out.

I've been curious about any flight sims on consoles as I've sunk my teeth into Ace Combat Infinity. I'll need to check these out once my Octoberween gaming maddness has come and gone.
