Well that seem to go that well now did it. Despite the critique from Linkara of Atop The Four Wall fame, I thought the comic had the general tone to the series. Sure the art style was off and the lack of consistence between character drawings did make a bit discombobulated. But overall they did seem to get Silent Hill vibe to everything if a bit....different. Perhaps Dying Inside #3,  4 & 5 fixed this in the long run. So here is part 2 of this first weekend's Octoberween 2014 Video Weekend feature. Enjoy!

So what do you think? Did the last two parts help redeem the whole story? Or is it true and this Silent Hill series is considered one of the suckiest? Let me know in the comments for I am very curious to see if I should bother with what I have in store for Silent Hill this year.

the 4 minute intro said it was the only thing related to Silent Hill and now I'm confused.

Anyway, I tend to agree with you that they seem to have gotten the general feel down and I think the mysteries Linkara asks about might add to the surrealist feel? Maybe?

Also, I think it's pronounced wait lee, not what lee. Maybe.

That was just Linkara's way of showing how the only thing Silent Hill related in that video was his little mock up. Frfom his point everything else in the comic isn't Silent Hill and more teen slasher flick.

I thought the comics got the generl vibe to with Silent Hill but the art direction left much to be desired.

Not sure how you pronounce it. I'm bad with words too.

There's a new Silent Hill comic out called Downpour. I assume it's based off the game of the same name. I haven't played SH 4, 5 or 6 so I feel like reading these might spoil things. To me, it seems like Silent Hill 3 tied up all the loose ends of the series and actually exposed too much, so much that new games don't really add much to the lore-- for me anyway. Setting any game away from Silent Hill seems like a bad idea. Have you seen this new comic I'm talking about?

I can't say I've seen this newer comic. I'm mostly trying to get caught up with the games themsevles. This comic I posted video on is the only one I actually own in one form or another. I too feel I should play the games first so I don't spoil msyelf with the comic offiers. I still need to play the prequel games to see how they handle.

I personally feel that the Silent Hill world just gives and gives. It can honestly be mined for more games with the right director. They really need to adjust the combat and controls because even I cannot defend them. I enjoy reading the lore and other materials based around the games. You should check out the game soundtracks and theme songs. They are pretty rad!

This game does just give and given when it comes the lush atmosphere it what it can offer. I myself wish they could go back to what they did with the series in SH 2 with so much inner meaning that you could spend hours decphyering it all.

that girl on the cover has a weird butt.  also looks like you can open a tin can with her nipples.  Surprised

....that's sexist. Tongue Out

Just goes to show how the artstyle to this comic series of Dying Inside went downhill real fast. The last cover was the worst in most respects. It looks like her pants were pratically falling off.
