Update on the Blake

Hey guys, just a quick update on whats going down, Blake-wise. Firstly, I quit Plus10Damage. It sucks, but I couldn't get out as much material as they needed at that point, and I felt bad that awesome writers like David, Jamison, Josh, Arron, and our very own Joe Step - as well as awesome guys like Steve and Matt who were mostly paying for the site upkeep themselves - were slaving their asses off making the site awesome and I was producing like an article a month. For an upcoming site, they need regularity, and at this point I can't offer it. Hopefully I'll be back next year sometime when things are going better for me schedule wise, but until then I think this is best.

Secondly, I finally got a job! I'm going to be working at Baiada as soon as my first shift comes in. It's 21 bucks and hour and double time on sunday, so I'm going to be working as many Sundays as possible.

Thirdly, I'm moving in with a friend... TOMORROW! Finally, I have a room to myself an DECENT FUCKING INTERNET! Seriously, I was sleeping on a mattress in the loungeroom while my uncle slept on the loung close to my head. He snores and makes weird ass fucking noises, so it took me until 6 am to get to sleep last night. So if I had a job, I'd literally probably kill him.

Fourthly. GAMES! Currently I'm playing Silent Hill 3 and Quake because nostalgia. Oh, and Hearthstone. Seriously, if you guys play Hearthstone hit me up, because I need new people to play against.

And that's it. Again, Hearthstone deets if you play. And I'm Blake Turner. Go fuck yourself San Diego.

Are you playing Silent Hill 3 on PS2? I just finished playing it recently. It still holds up pretty well. I played the HD version on PS3 though. What do you have against San Diego?

Nah, I'm playing the PC version, and I gotta say it looks better than some modern games. Holy shit does it look good!

And I have nothing agains San Diego. I just have a rather long living love for Anchorman.

congrats, Blake! I'm glad to hear things are going so well. Sometimes we hit rough patches but hopefully they don't last too long. I'm glad you've got a job now and a new place to live. Independence is nice.

Thanks man! I shall enjoy Quake. Just sucks I had to leave Plus10Damage. I've been there since before the move to pixlbit, so it's a touch disheartening.

And I have no idea why I thought gluing water to the walls would make them think a squirtle trashed the place. Idek. Idk, except that it involved a charmander framing a squirtle for something and maybe I'm too much of a pokemon nerd xD

When I said weird ass fucking noises, I just meant weird noises in general... not specifically ass fucking noises. That would be far more concerning.

I knew what you meant. And yes, seasonal. I was year-round, but with the boss from hell that was causing me major anxiety. I decided that seasonal for a great boss beat year-round for a miserable boss hands down. I miss the paycheck and the benefits, but I'm not sick all the time and I have only had a handful of anxiety attacks since I left as opposed to three or more a day when I was working at the other park.

Most of that sounds like good news, so that's good to hear.

Alien Isolation should get here in the mail later today, so I'll play that tonight I guess. I still haven't played SH2 or 3 before. I wanted to get the Silent Hill HD collection so I could see those two finally, but I heard that collection is broken on consoles and never got fixed, so I'm not sure what I should do.

Yeah HD collection is so bad the original creators disowned it. I think the originals are on PSN though I'm not sure.

At the moment $21 equals $18.24 so it's not too bad.

Hearthstone will be my second favourite game of the year if something epic doesn't come out. It's seriously awesome. It is a card game. It's free, and everyone should try it, despite how soul crushing losing streaks can be from time to time.

It's better to play against a friend though, as they can help you, and you'll learn much better that way.

Yay Blake! If I could find a cheap copy of SH 3 on PC I'd downloaded it even though I already own it. It doesn't show up on Steam as far as I can tell.

Silent Hill 2 is on GoG and apparently 3 will be soon. I can't find it anywhere for digital distribution but I bought my copy off amazon.

I feel you mate, my bed broke when my parents went on holiday and i haven't been comfortable since. But my new bed has arived, it's like sleeping on a bouncy castle.

Anyway, I can't get "Decent Fucking Internet" to save my life, it get soo flippin bad at times, we don't change partly because it's liked to our satilite package

Congrats on the new job and the new room! New room and internet is always a good thing. Hearthstone is one the iPad game I don't play. I don't know why, maybe its a good thing because I don't need another tablet game to get hooked on.
