Welcome to this week's new post fellow people of Pixlbit! Just going to jump straight to pickups. I only picked up two games recently. The first one I will discuss is Forza Horizon 2. At the time of this game's release, I had to choose between this or Shadow of Mordor. I chose Mordor because I love the LoTR. I knew I was going to get Forza eventually so few days ago I decided to get it. I wanted to get the regular edition because I didn't care much about the DLC. My money could be more useful somewhere else.

I also picked up Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS. I didn't plan on getting it for the 3DS because I wanted to wait for the WiiU version. I found out that November 21st is the release date for it. I might ask for that as a Christmas present but I'm not sure because during the month of November, there are a lot of games I plan to pick up. Such as CoD: Advanced Warfare, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. November is going to hurt my wallet a lot.

Recently I pre-ordered Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Now at the time I wanted to to pre-order this game, I knew I wanted to go back into the series and play something new up until CoD. One thing that's making me hesitant to buy it is the fact that it's $60 for a last gen game. I understand that they kept that price range because there are still some people who haven't upgraded to next gen, but they could at least lower the price down to $50. On that same day, The Evil Within and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edtion also release. I would gladly put my $60 towards either one of those games because they are for the next gen consoles. I'm trying to persuade myself fully to get Borderlands by playing Borderlands 2, but it still boggles my mind that I'm willing to pay full price for a last gen game.

What do you guys and gals think about game developers charging full price for last gen games? If Borderlands were to be priced at $50 then that's not a problem. I'm hoping they will port the Borderlands games onto the next gen consoles, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

What games are you all excited for this year? Hope everyone has a great week.

BEYOND!

that is kinda lame about Borderlands.  I didn't know it was going to be priced like that.  I'm surprised there isn't a next gen version.

Gearbox didn't want to move it to next-gen because there's still an audience out there who haven't upgraded to the next gen consoles. I think that's stupid. Why don't you make the game for both current and next gen?! You make more money, you grab more interests from gamers, and you don't look like a development company who is too damn lazy to boost up the graphics. I think it's just pure laziness because they're using the same engine they used with Borderlands 2.

I was surprised Borderlands: The Pre-sequel was a full game but apparentlyit is. If it's as deep as Borderlands 2, I don't care if doesn't do anything new, it's going to last me a long time and it'll be worth the price.

See that's what I'm thinking too, but the full price still bothers me. They should've knocked it down to $50 at most. They also could've made it for next gen but I think they're just too damn lazy to do so. That's my personal opinion though. There could be other reasons, but I still don't see why not. You'll make more money that way.

Those guys at Gearbox are certainly good at making money. Also, Borderlands 2 was such a hit, why not do some more with the engine and story.

I actually just found out that Gearbox didn't work on this. It was actually 2K Australia.

They had a guy from both Gearbox and 2K Aus in interviews I heard last week about the game. I gather there was some collaboration?

Yeah they said 2K Australia developed the game, but under the supervision of Gearbox. I'm currently playing it right now. It's good so far. Waiting for a used copy of The Evil Within to hit one of my local Gamestops

Lucky you, I have to wait until Sunday to get going with it.
