Hey everybody. Sorry that I have yet to post my next pick in my Top 11 Octoberween Game Titles for 2014 so far. I’m doing a re-write of the one I want to post soon, plus I’m rather beat hand wise since I just got back from helping out the family in getting ready for our annual Halloween Bonfire this weekend. We needed to build some new steps so people could get down to our creek bank easier. The dirt incline was just getting to hard to use. Not just for the foot traffic but to make carrying down all the food items and firewood. I had to dig holes in that incline just to set the poles for the banister.

Plus I’m in the mood to play some games before the weekend gets too busy so instead of starting the Video Weekend on Saturday, I’ll start it out tonight and post the Top 11 Octoberween Game Title for 2014 later on Saturday. I’ll also try to get caught up on comments from my past blogs, as well as reading up on the various blogs I follow. Your comments and blog content are great!

And speaking of my Top 11 Octoberween Game Titles for 2014, are any of them hitting the right notes for Octoberween? Are they not exactly getting you into the Halloween spirit? Want an alternative list? Then why not check out this Halloween special video from Joe and Dave courtesy of Game Sack. I was introduced to Game Sack from one of my XBL friends who had an interest in retro reviews. Though their video style was rough at first, they’ve refined their methods and made some great videos on many retro topics. I personally enjoy their breakdown of specific consoles. It’s because of Game Sack’s hosts Joe and Dave that convinced me in getting into the Ys series and buying all the Neo Geo titles I could of the Wii’s Virtual Console. And like me these guys love them some Halloween. So why not check out this video of their list of games that fit the mood for Halloween. Enjoy!

In the mood for other alternative titles for a Halloween night? Why not check out Pixlbitter Alex-C25 on his Spooky Month Blog #1. It would seem that he and the guys at Game Sack have the right idea.

Are they spot on or did the miss a few? Is their game list okay? Better than mine or is mine better than theirs? Let me know in the comments below! Another Game Sack video on Sunday.

I am planning on downloading both Psychonauts and Limbo from Steam this weekend.

I think their delivery could stand to feel a bit less scripted, but they seem likeable.

A lot of games they showed have been pointed out as terrible, but I need to play the better ones (apparently) like Zombies Ate My Neighbors! and Splatterhouse. In fact, off I go to ssega.com.

Woot! My job (and their job) here is done!

Over time they did get better. They even poked fun at that during one episode awhile back.

I did wonder why they chose some stinkers in that episode. But still some good ones are to be found. I'd go the digital route myself but I've had the chance to own most of those copies they speak of.

I like your halloween blogs.  I have to play a horror game before it's too late though, I've been procrastinating.

that's what I like about those guys. For some odd reason they just leave an impression that makes you want to try out some of the games you speak of. It's why I own alot of Neo Geo titles on my Wii right now.

Lots of great choices in that video except that I will be too into Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel the next few weeks to even think of going back to RE4.

Social gaming trumps all I'm afraid. Of course, this is like couch-tandem-single-player without the couch and only marginally social.
