Did a little Rearranging of the last generation

I originally had my PS3 in the slot under the television but after hearing the fan start running at max when it had only been on for 10 minutes I rethought that strategy and moved the HD PVR into that position. Now my PS3 lives on top of the TV cabinet with plenty of air around it.

So last gen is now proudly displayed in it's entirety and all (for now) is right with the world.

The fan still hits full belt after half an hour but the air around it is much cooler.

... and no, my room is not tilted I just take pictures funny. I've been trying to take pictures of my games but my phone seems to have a hard time focusing for some reason. I need to figure it out.

remember in the old 60's Batman TV show, when it showed the villains in their hideout the camera would always be tilted? Reminds me of that.

Happiness is a cooled PS3. Or 360, for that matter.

The difference is that my 360 is barely audible while the PS3 sound like a jet taking off.

My launch 360 was really noisy as well but they fixed that for generation 2

It's the opposite in my house, I'm afraid. Quiet PS3, really loud 360.

Console noise, I have the 60 gig backwards compatible model and the fan is crazy loud. So much so it's too distracting to use at times, especially for watching movies. My 360 slim never made too much noise but after one of the updates it suddenly started vibrating when I stood it up on its side. Laying flat helped but it fits so much better standing up.

That's exactly what mine is except it now sports a 750 GB HD. I could never use it to watch blu rays either so I bought a dedicated blu ray player that makes no noise at all.
