Octoberween 2014 Video Weekend: Game Sack Halloween 3

Why don’t we finish off the weekend with yet another Halloween Gaming list thanks to Joe and Dave from Game Sack. Though their last list may have played it safe with their gaming offerings, perhaps this list will traverse new territory. I know this video alone gave me an idea for a future Octoberween Game Title for a future Top 11 list later in the years. Now I just have to find it.

So far my weekend has been very busy. Besides the family bonfire, the Huskers playing and the general busyness of the season, I’ve found myself enjoying my nights as Halloween weekend slowly approaches. It’s during these moments when I wish the slowness of time would be this slow, yet not as slow as to make me ache for Halloween itself. So far I have much Octoberween gaming to do as well as video/movie watching. And I’m feeling the urge to read a certain novel as well. But till then as I get my final games play for the night, from not just my library but also from the latest PSN Flash Sale (Heroine edition, what a riot!) and episodes of Ghost Whisperer (don’t judge) queued up on Netflix, why not check out this latest video from the respective Sega and Nintendo Fanboys themselves. Enjoy! And once again stay for the after end credits for yet another silly haunted short. At least it shows what scares Dave to his core.

If anything you could say that Pixlbitter Super Step & KnightDriver is one step ahead of these guys when it comes to Splatterhouse

So what do you think? Any better suggestions for Octoberween gaming? Or are they playing it safe again or are their some solid suggestions? I know there is one particular title I’d like to try out in the future. Can you guess which one? Let me know in the comments below. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and don’t worry I shall get to your comments and reader blogs soon!

How was the bonfire?  Eat anything good?  Pictures are a must, if you got'em

It was great. The weather wasn't too cold making the fire a nice use and not a nesessity. The only pic I got was of some hot dogs I prepped and a bowl of chili. My folks at the party didn't want it documented online. They are rather protective like that. here'

To be fair, I'd say they are ahead of me, since I've only played the first two levels of Splatterhouse II and that was a couple days ago online. I'd never even heard of the series until the Splatterhouse remake got an EGM cover.

In fact, I'd never heard of any of the games these guys discussed after the Splatterhouse series. And they all looked interesting except D, which I do not want to play at all. I never even liked Myst when it came out.

This is definitely my favorite of these so far. Go Huskers! Need to see if I still have that hoodie my aunt gave me.

Also, the more I think about it, I want Sega to release a horror-themed game called Sonic Doom.

I knew of spallterhouse before this episode but it's nice to hear them explain the series itself. It finally got me to get around to buying Splaterhouse 2 off the wii VC.

This was the episode that got me cuours about all the titles they spoke of. I hope to find them all one day, even D and enemy Zero even if they are not that good.

So far the huskers are doing well. Will have to see about this weekend though.I need to see about getting a husker hoodie one day.

I guess we'll have to make due with Sonic 06 with their demonic based boss battles.

that tongue-in-cheek Splatterhouse game with the baby-like Rick looks fun

I wouldn't mind trying out that game sometime soon. But I'd need a top loader NES I guess. time to go shopping.

i know this is off-topic, but do you own a v-cap device?  I'd fully watch your vids if you were to make Lets Play type ones.

Sadly no. I wouldn't know where to begin about getting a v-cap device. Plus I'm not sure if I'd be an entertaining enough of a person to watch in a Let's Play video. It seems you have to be a very speical breed of individual to make a Let's Play interesting and funny. I'm not sure if I could pull that off without major scripting.

I am curious though, why would you find me interesting to watch in doing a Let's Play video?
