SXSW [South By Southwest] 2013 in Austin,Texas

I am so jealous! Why can't I be one of the cool kids and be in Austin right now? SXSW 2013 is underway this week until Sunday. It has become such a huge event. But Austin is such a great city for music,so I think it would be worth it to face the crowds. It encompasses much more than music now. Film,art,comedy,tech,and I believe even some gaming!

Maybe someday I'll be able to attend. Perhaps next year. That would be so cool to live in Austin and get to experience the event each year. It's become kind of like Burning Man to me. A yearly event I have to view online through video clips and YouTube footage. Better than nothing! Have any of you ever attended SXSW? If so,what did you think of it?

I guess im one of the fortunate guys I got togo to the Games con thats at sxsw in Austin cause well i live in Austin the music part of sxsw is this weekend all this week its movies and gaming on 6th street I wish all of you could go its really great and i got my 3 day wrist band and do plan on checking out some cool bands,of course im in a band and we play on saturday and only booked one gig so it should go smooth.

I kinda figured you'd be the guy attending this year. Now I'm really jealous! I only realized today how much gaming is a part of it now. It's a really big deal for tech companies and game developers,too.

Games con was great i got some of my games autographed now if i could just figure out how to get pics on here i could post pics of our band jamming saturday oh and pics of games con it was huge and very packed.

Hey,don't feel bad about the photo thing. I'm still new to it and figuring it out. I use Image Shack. You can download images pretty easily and then get URL that you can copy/paste in your blog. I still have to click on the little HTML icon and insert it in there. I'll figure out how to use the other ones eventually,I'm sure. Trial and error!

I was thinking hey, cool, and then I saw that pic with all the people, and went "holy shit! No way!" I don't do well in large crowds like that, unfortunately.

I know what you mean,Tami. I get a bit edgy in really tight crowds. I cannnot deal with that at concerts where it's general admission. I'm a big guy,but sometimes there are even bigger dudes there! They always seem to end up shoving their way through the crowd like a bulldozer. Until they run right into me!

I was going to check out some panels at SXSW Interactive but then I remembered that half of downtown is closed off for the event and we have a terrible public transit system.

Besides, most of the interesting panels happened Saturday when I was working. :/

Pretty cool to meet a fellow Austinite im in pflugerville and will be playing this weekend and i did go to gamescon down town and you cant move its so packed but alot of fun.
