I've had an interesting week that has absolutely nothing to do with gaming but you're going to hear about it anyway. So get yourself a cold beverage, sit down and listen.
Last Saturday one of the local Ford dealerships had a sale going on for their remaining 2014s so being that I really need something that was better on gas than my 2010 Escape my wife and I decided to take a look.
We spent three and a half frikkin' hours at that dealership. their network went down and we did a lot of sitting and waiting.
Finally they worked something out that fit into our budget (barely) but the vehicle had to be brought in from another dealership.
Soooo, we said yes and spent about an hour filling out a sales agreement and went home. A couple of hours later we got a call that we had been approved.
So Tuesday rolls around and I see a call come through from the dealership. I'm thinking wow they got that car in fast however I was sadly mistooken as my dad would say. They were calling to tell us that the 2014 Grey Escape SE they sold us had been sold by the dealership they sourced it from so basically we were sold a vehicle that didn't exist.
All week we've had empty promises and attempts to give us something that was less than what we paid for. They were not able to find a comparable vehicle anywhere.
So today we were on our way home from downtown and decided to drop into another dealership that is a 10 minute drive from where we live.
Within 2 minutes of arriving the salesperson finds us an Escape with all the features we had been hoping for
Apparently bad blood between the dealerships prevented them from checking there.
So now I have two sales agreements.
One for a vehicle I still haven't seen and another for an Escape I've seen and driven.
I'm going to the first dealership to cancel that agreement on Monday. I tried today but the slimy weasels gave me some cock and bull story about not being able to give me back my ownership or cancel my agreement because Louie (whoever he is) is the only one who can do that and he's not in.
