Anyone use their iPad to read comics? Do you have any recommended apps to do so? I know it cost like $2-$3 per issue, is that normal?

I am interested in reading mostly Marvel stuff if that helps. I haven't read a comic in a while, like over 10 years.

I don't have a tablet, but I might see if Google Play has a comics app for my phone now that you mention it.

The  Civil War story arc seems interesting, that's what I am mainly interested in reading. Who knows after that, I am sure there is a lot of good stuff.

I'm using Perfect Viewer on the Nexus 7 and it isn't bad. I use it for pdf versions of comics.

On my Android tablet I use Lumiread. It does what I need it to do. I could read them on the Kobo app too but I can't get them to show full screen which pisses me off. Same with Kindle.

I will see if Lumiread is offered on iOS.

I downloaded the Marvel App just to see how it works, and I was thinking about buying a couple of books because of the blogs here about comics. I do like physical media over digital, but with comics the digital format fits my needs especially when I'm traveling.

The good thing about digital is that I don't have to store the comics...and the older comics can get pricey.

Right?! Those books man, its nuts. The whole storage situation is a big plus for digital over physical, especially for someone like myself who isn't into collecting comics.
