Hello Pixlbit! Quick blog. I just got back from picking up

I thought this was a pretty good deal. Now many of you know, I rarely buy a non NCAA Football game on release day (last one was like Liberty City Stories on the PSP) but I've been waiting for this game for a while.

So last night I found a Target that was still selling the pre-order cards (the ones that were dated a week and a half ago to not sell) and for the $1 reservation, I get a $5 dollar gift card. Now in this past week’s ad, it was buy a 6 pack of Dr. Pepper, the game and get $10 gift card. Cool right? Just to make sure I check it out with Customer Service and they said it was good to go, so I went to pick up my game, the soda, and $15 gift cards. I now have bottled Dr. Pepper so I don’t have to hit the random vending machine to spend $1.50 on a bottle, a game I’ve been waiting for, and some gift cards to use when Target finally gets the new Iron Man Lego Sets.

Happy Tuesday!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

Not a bad deal at all! Love me some Dr. Pepper. Can't say as I've played a God of War, though.

You gotta play a God of War game. Kratos being pissed and taking people out is a good ol fashion fun. Smile

I love when store make mistakes and we get to reap the benefits.

I thought it was a mistake because there were two separate cards, but when I went to pay for them I saw the gift card prompts on the register. I hope they do again for NCAA Football

Thanks!

Yeah I thought they were out already but it turns out it's gonna be next month at Target. I could get the Lego Iron Man sets at Toys R Us now...if I want to pay the crazy markup TRU does with their Lego.

Nice deal. Dr. Pepper goes great with gaming.

This is the first time I've had a Dr. Pepper while gaming. It's a good combo. I usually have ice tea or Coke sitting close by while I play.

Nice haul. It seems like yesterday the new GoW was announced. Is the game any good?

Seriously it seems like it was a couple of weeks ago. I was excited during the announcement, forgot about the game, and when I saw the commercials I got excited again.

Good score. Nice tactics ;]

And can't beat Dr Pepper!

Thanks. This was a really cool promotion for Target. Hopefully they do this with more games, because buying a preorder card, and a six pack of soda and get $15 dollars in gift cards is a nice bonus. I usually don't care for the packed in bonus stuff with games, but having store credit to get something I like will make me go to Target before another B&M store

Love me some gift cards. It's like forgotten money sometimes if you forget you have them in your wallet.

Thanks! Like I was saying in a previous comment, if Target continues to have these combined deals I might be more inclined to take my business there instead of a GameStop or a Best Buy

Epic Win! Target isn't normally my destination for games. But that is a sweet deal. The game department at our Target leaves quite a bit to be desired, unfortunately. While Wal Mart usually has some clueless yokel behind the register,at least they keep the game cabinets stocked. Our Gamestop absolutely rocks! Awesome staff that knows their stuff.

My GameStop used to be awesome, but all the good employees are gone, and I really only hit that place for used games now. It seems like every Walmart sounds like that and they never clean it. My next game I'll get from Target is NCAA Football (that one I can't wait for)
