I was wondering if there are games that have been released recently that you've completed or are looking forward to that you feel deserve more coverage. On a side note I've been binge playing a bunch of Indie games and I think they are kind of great!  I would like more recommendations for Indie games from this community.

A short list of really good games:

ShadowRun:Dragonfall
Transistor
Binding of Isaac:Rebirth
Luftrausers
Risk of Rain
Shovel Knight
Volgarr The Viking

Not really Indie but good nonetheless:
Divinity Original Sin
Endless Legend (strategy)

I'm really enjoying Limbo at the moment. Probably should have spent $15 on Shovel Knight instead of Legend of Korra  ... nah, I'm sure I'll come around on LoK, just hit a bit of a snag last night.

I'm gonna binge through all my Indie games, so I need to finish up Shovel Knight. Thanks.

I'd add Rogue Legacy to that list. Fantastic game.

Thanks. I will! Forgot about this game.

6180 the Moon isn't too shabby. It's far from amazing but it's a neat little puzzle game.

Legend of Grimrock 2 will be on my GOTY list, as will Anomaly 2 (if that counts).

Glitchikers is amazing if you like fully narrative experiences without heaps of gameplay.

Always Sometimes Monsters if you like EVERY choice you make to matter.

I didn't know Legend of Grimrock had a sequel? I liked the first game enough. I'll try the sequel. Thanks.

Indeed it does. Here's my review of it: http://plus10damage.com/blog/2014/10/24/ultimate-underworld-legend-of-grimrock-2-review

Spoiler, it got a 9/10. You should totally get it :p

Also, all my recommendations are for indie games that came out this year.

Thanks. A nice list is what I was looking for. I also tend to like your game choices. Grimrock reminds me of the Etrian Odyssey Games on 3DS. But I think Grimrock has higher quality visuals.

I need Etrian Odyssee in my life but I can't find a copy of any of them in Australia.

Oh, and Glitchiker is free, and a really cool David Lynchian car driving game. And if you need Indie games in your life, this is a good site for finding them: http://itch.io/ There's some free stuff, and some "high profile" indie games, but the free ones are decent quality from what I've seen.

Oh, and another recommendation: Ziggurat. Like Hexen mixed with Binding of Isaac.

Damned you whatsacow. Now you had to go and show me that pandoras box black whole of Indie games. I will never get my life back. These Indie games seriously need to ge their own review site for goodness sake!

Oh, and you had me  at David Lynch. I'll check it out!

Are you playing New Binding of Isaac. All the kids on the playground say it's the new hotness. Oh, and I have a few of them Etrian Odyssey games. You can prob download a Nintendo DS emulator and Roms if you want to check the games out. My rule is if the games are innaccessible, then do what you must. Leave no gamer behind.

SteamWorld Dig was one of my favourite games of last year and was just made a PS+ freebie.

Recently, I have spent the most time with Velocity Ultra on the PSVita and Binding of Isaac Rebirth.

I need to catch up on SteamWorldDig.

Velocity Ultra is totally rad and I'm loving Binding of Isaac.

At the top of my head: Limbo, Super Meat Boy, Braid (it was one of the kickstarters after all), BIT. Trip Beat, Bastion, Cave Story (original freeware or remake, any would do), Dear Esther, Dust: An Elysian Tale, Hotline Miami, La-Mulana, Organ Trail, Psychonauts, Terraria and Skullgirls (I think it's now independent).

Awesome thanks. I will get through all these!

Gunpoint - Better hacking game than the multi-million dollar Watch Dogs

Hotline Miami - Lurid, 80s inspired thriller. Top down action that rewards on-the-fly thinking.

Elite: Dangerous - Space exploration and combat sim

Mark of the Ninja - 2d ninja stealth game with a sharp art style. One of the better stealth games in recent memory.

FTL - space combat roguelike. Real time with pause ship management and one on one ship battling. Upgrades, different ships to unlock.

Thanks Macho. I'll trie them out.

I have Endless Legend, and I've been meaning to play it, but other things get in the way. But I keep hearing SO many great things about it.

It's good. A bit obtuse, but looks super great. It will eat up alot of your time. But otherwise really good for those sorts of games.

Well you have Shovel Knight on your list, so that's good.  WayForward's Shantae games are also fantastic.  One of my favorite indie games is on the Xbox 360.  it's a little old, so it may be hard to find to download, but Protect Me Knight is an awesome game and was made by Yuzo Koshiro's team Ancient.

I have Shantae on iPad. It's pretty rad. Haven't tried the Nintendo ones.

I've been playing some QUBE: Director's Cut recently. Portal-esque, minus all the great Glados stuff. Quantum Conundrum is another in that vein, also by Kim Swift.

Interesting games. I'm overwhelmed with all the different responses.

Broken Age Chapter I and Banner Saga. Both on Steam, both look awesome. I've been wanting to play them all year.

Broken Age looks really good. I played it. It's got Elijah Wood and it's really old schoo in gameplay.

There's a series called The Last Door that's a browser-based flash game in multiple chapters. It's free to play, and is done with old school graphics. Think survival horror point-and-click. I think Julian has reviewed them all on here. They're amazingly well-done and best played with headphones and the lights out.

Thanks. I'm overwhelmed with options now. Cry
