So as you know I had my eye on Tears to Tiara II since its release and at Gamestop its a cool $39.99 which isnt bad for a 80 plus hour JSRPG but still a bit high for this family man so today I looked to see if there were any used copys yet and to my surprise only one Gamestop in a 100 miles had 1 copy one thats 5 minutes from my house so I went and snagged it for $26 brand new with the artbook and all.

Pretty good deal and way cheaper then the new 39.99 ;)

$26 is a good deal. If I find it for that price I'll buy it too.

I feel really wierd about this sort of thing because I kind of feel like Japanese devs refuse to localize their kwerky games because gamers won't buy them. SJRPGs are a real niche genre that is custom made for gamers like you and since you bought it used instead of full price it deters from selling these kind of games in the future. So I try to pay full price or get special editions of Atlus games when they launch to get them to keep localizing. Not all Atlus games, but the ones I'm interested in like Etrian series.

Otherwise, I'm glad you were able to save money and get your game with extras. But I had to get it off my chest. Sometimes I don't have the budget for newest bestest games and I've been in your position, who hasn't amirite? I really wanted to try this game out myself.

One time I got a Batman Arkham box set on sale and it had a batarang and leather booklet which was rad, so I know how you feel. But Batman is a AAA game, but I digress.

I think he said he bought it new, just discounted, but maybe I'm wrong.  I see your point though.  I do the same thing for Etrian type games and other titles I know I want but no one else is going to buy.  We vote with our money.

Yeah. This is what I'm saying. If we paid full price for weird ass games, then they'd make a profit and make more. I think there was an XBOXOne game recentley that was made by the Deadly Premonition creator and it bombed. I think it was a DLC game for like 12 dollars or something so this guy probably won't make more games anytime soon. D4 I think it's called.

I see and respect your point but when your gaming budget is usually in the $20 range you have to take a deal when you see it, I figure sombody bought it didnt like it and traded it in which is really no different then a freind giving it to me cause he didnt like it. ;)

I wasn't judging you at all. I've done the same thing. I buy PS2 and PSOne games on ebay all the time. I'm just saying when we want rare games that don't make it over here, it's because we won't buy them new. I normally don't run out and buy new games on day one anymore mostly due to backlog and time. Bayonetta is an example. It didn't sell very well, so there probably won't be a sequel or more games like it. Same as DMC. The Evil Within was a great game, but I feel like if I don't support it, it tells devs not to make them anymore. When I do get a budget for this Tiara game, it will probably be year 2030 for 1,000 dollars on ebay.

Well dont know about that lol!!! But I know your not judging and you make a valid point and to be honest I usually do buy these games new an example the recor of argarest Naughty and zero I bought the collectors edition for that very reason but I bought F1 2014 instead so I supported Codemasters so they will keep publishing f1 games but this is just a by chance deal and I jumped on it but I totally agree with you.Wink

The hell it is! Definitely wish I would have waited on a few Steam purchases I made thinking they were as low-priced as they'd get.

Nice. I love doing that sort of thing: finding that game you want at some Gamestop near you.

In my experience, waiting is always better than impulsive buying. It's waiting too long that can get you sometimes. Cool

Waiting for a deal is always a good thing, and I'm glad you picked up a game you like at such a good price. There is always some interesting finds at GameStop when it comes to their under $15 sections, that it pays to have some patience.

How dare you! You dare buy a game ubber xheap and not pay the full price thus ensuring the developer doesn't get all they are due?!?!?!

I hope your happy! Have you not heard, whenever you buy a game used brings the gaming industry one step closer to complete and utter and total and through and ultimate and epic and terrible gaming collapse?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

......

yeah I didn't buy that arguement either. Sweet Score! It's why I have a hard timet rying to buys something when I know it'll be cheaper in the future months or even more cheaper many months later. It's even worse with digital titles. Right now PSN is having a Sonic Sale and though Sonic 4 episode 1 and 2 are only 7.49, it makes me wonder if it'll go lower to $5 alter. Decisions decisions.
