Quite literally in that order, as I'd written them well before now and they got posted recently, before the Oakland Raiders won their first game of the NFL season to go 1-10 over the now 7-4 Kansas City Chiefs. Guess it's that anything-can-happen time of the NFL season, so I'll have to take the Ginats-Cowboys game seriously. Dammit. Why can't I get NBC in my apartment? Why is that a channel only in cable packages in Nacogdoches, TX? Bleh.
Anyway, here are some articles I wrote for plus10damage.com:

I unfortunately can't get my hands on Smash Bros. today. Tried asking my friend to let me come over and play but he wants to spend time with a friend he's not seen in forever.Boo.
What are you up to?
I don't know and I'm not sure that necessarily has to do with it. Suddenlink in my area may have just decided no NBC for us antenna-using peasants.
And yeah, Sonic Boom couldn't be reviewed until its release day and even IGN had to buy their own copies. Always a sign of confidence in the product ...
My local indy game store posted on FB this AM that Nintendo is delaying shipment of the new Pokemon and Smash Bros to indy retailers due to leaked versions over the past couple of weeks. I don'y know if that affects your access or not, Joe.
I feel ya, can't get NBC reliably with my antenna, either. FOX is worse, which doesn't usually bother me except for football. And I might as well forget PBS altogether. That one hurts.
It doesn't, there's a GameStop here. My friend already posted a pic of himself with the Smash Bros. Champion belt, the game, and a Star Fox amiibo, he just is spending time with a freind he hasn't seen in a while.
It's not that NBC is unreliable with antennae, I seriously think Suddenlink in Nacogdoches has it and it's a cable-only channel here. I hate not being able to get PBS as well, but FOX comes in clear as a bell for me.
However, it seems SEGA wasn't satisfied with the game. Okay, i'm not sure about that, but I don't think SEGA is the only one to blame on the quality of the game.
From what some fans have been saying, it's not as horrible as Sonic 06, but it's close, although that aplies only to the Wii U game (3DS Boom is instead considered Mediocre). On the other hand, the cartoon made along side the game is actually getting some praise and looks better visually, so it kinda puts a question mark if it was better to make the cartoon first and leave the games for latter.
Okay, i'm rambling too much about Sonic, but just to finish, though it will certainly leave a mark, atleast it's not really a "core" game and there's of course Colors, Generations, Lost World and Unleashed to a certain extent if people want quality modern Sonic 3D.
As for the practice on review embargos, yeah, a very fishy practice.
I don't doubt they weren't happy; I heard it was not Sonic Team handling this game. I doubt SEGA wants yet another bad 3D game shrinking their fanbase after lowering consumer trust in their products.
And yeah, the Grumps playthrough doesn't quite look Sonic '06 bad, but there are still some glaring issues.
And I'm a fan of Sonic 3D games. Like I said in my article, I still think Adventure 2: Battle was fun and outside my article I was really rooting for Boom to be good and still want to play Generations.
But the point is, it's really shitty to just not allow companies to review your game so that unwitting parents will buy it for their kids.
