this game blew my mind when it came out on PSONE all those years ago. I remember we got it as a birthday present for my brother. IT was such a change from the NES and Genesis years!

I may be a fool but I am proud of my damn foolishness. It was a couple summers ago and me and my friend Evan ventured out on a video game called Resident Evil Remake for the Gamecube.
Holy Shit! A couple weeks ago I beat the game! I was so fucking happy to have finally done so. The final score was 15 hours of gameplay.
For me that means I am a scrub. Thought I don't want to spoil the game. That is right up there for me with Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill 2. That's how great of game I think it is.
And I was scared throughouht the whole game. I was on edge whilst playing it at night. The last couple of hours freaked me the fuck out even more. What a game! I have the upmost respect for Shinji Mikami. Fuck we have Columbus Day ...why not have Mikami Day, The man is just pure brilliant with how he scares you.
The camera angles. The creepy music. The crimson heads. The amazing atmosphere that basically surrounds the game. Dripping with atmosphere and your head is on a constant swivel. The story line is pretty damn good as well. I think overall besides me having to use a walkthrough to not fuck up the inventory, I am going to say it is a 10.
The tank controls highly reminiscent of Silent Hill 2 work when you get used to them. I wish kinda I would have gotten the perfect ending. But it took me a long while to beat the game so I was like fuck it. I just wanted to beat the game. That means to date I have beaten Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 4. HEHHEEHHEEHHEH!
I am really proud of beating this damn game. I felt very accomplished at the end. I think that Mikami has the idea of what scares people besides brilliant pacing is ....fear. Putting you in uncomfortable places with equally creepy enemies. I mean it is so easy to see why he's the grandfather of that very genre.
Brilliant!
