With over 120 hours logged into Destiny, I cannot see an end in sight. I thought that I was going to be able to quit when I hit level 30, but that didn't happen. I don't know what is wrong with me, I am a fairly well rounded gamer, why can't I get back to having more variety in my gaming life?
Where ya at!

Well its been a while and I don't really have an excuse other than I just been feeling lazy. I just noticed my last post was way back in September.lol Anyway, so lets get this blog rolling.
My conflicted feelings toward Destiny have not stopped me from playing the everloving crap out of it. I took a short break to play Borderlands TPS, which was a little bit disappointing too but I will get to that. The problem with Destiny is that it is really lacking dept. Some major tweeks were made this week with the latest update to get ready for the new dlc that is going to even further effect major changes to the game. Most of them good from what I can see, at the very least it will make the game a little less grindy, and any new missions or story continuation are way over due.
Borderlands TPS is not a bad game, but it feels a bit thin and short compared to Borderlands 2. Its also glitchy as hell and not very balanced in some ways, but so was BL2 in the beginning before they patched it. But in all fairness I have not gotten into True Vault Hunter mode yet and that is where things start to get really fun.
I have also got to put some time in to GTA5, still feels like gta but they seem to have finally got the controls right and tight, although I did accidentally jumped out of a helipcopter 3 times and die a hillarious death. I am just about to pull my first heist so it should be fun to seehow this plays out.
On the music front I have to start by highly recomending to any fellow hip hop heads the new album Beastiary by Hail Mary Mallon aka Aesop Rock & Rob Sonic. This album takes the essence and soul of golden age 80's hip hop and combines it with a modern progressive edge. The lyrics will dance in your head as these two spin colorful tales over rythmic cadences that any jazz drummer would appretiate.
Next is the latest from one of the greatest progressive rock bands in the world who are also from one of my favorite towns, Austin Tx. They Want My Soul by Spoon. These guys are typically two years ahead of themselves and at least five years ahead of everyone else. They really are that good. And no two albums sound the same, they are really fearless in the major jumps they make with each new record they make.
I also finally got a copy of The Decemberist first album Cut Outs and Castaways . This is steam punk music. Well maybe not steam punk, but think the musical equevilant of Downton Abby only much, much querkier and just a touch perverted. That is not really a fair desription either, you simply must hear it. The first track called "Lesley Ann Levine" is the first song I had ever heard by these guys and it made me seek them out. Its a very sad yet beautiful song, although not all the songs are sad and slow.
Well thats all I got, sorry for any bad spelling or other slopy writing, as usual thanks for reading. Oh and Happy holidays! If your up north stay warm, if your down south stay suprised and ready for anything.lol Laters!
