Wii U is 'Crap' and Nintendo is the 'Walking Dead'

The Wii U is Dead

Turns out they're doing just fine.

Well, we should at least wait until after the holidays are over before celebrating. I honestly think Wii U is a better value this holiday with a stronger first party game lineup than Sony or Microsoft. I love playing off TV on the gamepad and I like the growing number titles on the eShop as well. Now if they would just sync up the 3DS profile  to WiiU and make it all cross-platform would be nice.

Yeah!  Someone owes Nintendo a tractor!  Or whatever you just said. :)

No I think he said That someone needs to put Nintendo in traction. I think they may have broken their leg.

Well yes, a tractor is better than being in traction. :)

I never pay any attention to click bait. It's very disappointing that so many people read those kind of things and take it seriously. Prime example of web journalism creating a perception which accepted becomes a reality.

Article: Wii U is Crap

Reaction: I won't by a Wii U because I read that it is crap. I don't want my friends to laugh at me.

Result: Reader buys an Xbox One and spends rest of life playing GTA and Call of Doody because everyone says that they are great. (Well at least until the mandatory backlash)

Heh...Mothman said "doody".  LOL!

But yeah, I read all of the articles Matt posted in the blog, and I found them to be a bit offensive and one-sided. Ironically, some of the articles mentioned that people have been saying that Nintedo is "doomed" for years.  Yet it somehow has managed to stand and contune to be a viable Hardware and software developer.

Doesn't sound like the work of doomed company to me.

Unless I am mistaken, Nintendo has been around significantly longer than any of the other gaming companies.  So, they have probably already cycled through this type of a situation a couple of times already.

Expanding a bit what Jamie said, I discovered this comic from around 2010 where even people were dooming Nintendo before the Wii and look what that turned out.

I think you also forgot to put any other article of Polygon, since those also have a hateboner for Nintendo. I even remember when they wrote that Mario Kart 8 would not be enough, and when that turned out to be one of their best selling games, with its console bundle and even surpassed for a bit the Xbone, Polygon still said that they are doomed despite the fact that they did well. I think its safe to say I don't trust mainstream game media anymore.
