Year Of The Snake Huh?....

I keep seeing the animal zodiac pop up everywhere so Ill join this lil cool crowd!

In all truth actually I liked GH's idea *Thank you good sir!*of playing Metal Gear throughout the year since it is the year of the snake. Now while I havent played the metal gear series yet*yes I know Im a sinner* but I decided that since I am in did a snake myself that Ill do something similar to that formula. Im however gonna play a game series that dont really have a snake connection to them. Just ones I wanna play. My first series up, is Resident Evil. Now I have a bit of history with the series. I played and beat 1-3 years ago. I beat both the original and the remake of 1. I beat 5 along side my sister, and I watched her play a beat 4. I was very proud the day she beat that game. She had this thing about not finishing games a long time ago and I wanted her to break that shit because she would get upset at herself for not doing it. Anywho, I am to start this lil challenge/goal with Resident Evil 1 Directors Cut. After each game Ill review it and go to the next one. Now while I might play other games along side them I am to have 1-6 beat before Jan 2014 rings down upon us.My journey into RE1 begins.....Tonight!

I wonder what games I should play, being a horse on the zodiac. Probably MGS3, since it's the only MGS title outside of 4 I never played.

I think you'll enjoy MGS once you play. Look forward to your RE stuff.

I believe I will enjoy MGS once I get my hands on the HD collection and the first game off of PSN. It will take me a bit before I do but once I have it I plan to work on the series. I have a lot to catch up on!

I can not wait to blog my first review for the RE series, Im so pumped about this!

I was really late to the party on MGS. I might play all of them again just for the heck of it. I told GH I would review MGS VR Missions on ps1. RE sounds like a great idea! You should definitely play RE 4. I love that game to death and have put way too many hours into it. The mercenaries minigame that you unlock is really fun and addicting!

Im severally late to the party in regards MGS series. I havent played nor touched a MGS game in my life but I plan to go through them, Gh convinced me of that. I hope to reach RE4 by atleast summer. From what I saw while watching it looked like a lot of fun so I think it will good once I reach it. I had all of them on my PSN from when I bought the special edition of RE6 so I figured what the hell, I need to replay all those. Possiably expect epic failness on my part,lol!

I like the idea of having a theme in playing games. I'm one of the few who never really got into Resident Evil, yet I managed to own the majority of the games in the series (I think I'm missing only the last two releases). Can't wait to read your thoughts on the series!

That stinks you never got into the series :( I played them soo long ago and loved them. I would play them late at night thinking it was a good idea in turn finding I'd end up scareing myself along with my lil sister who sat by me most of the time. Lets see if at 23 they still got some bite to them!

The Resident Evil series started for me with #2. For me, the series is about Leon and Claire. Just sayin'.

I actually did play RE2 first. I however since then have become OCD when it comes to playing games in order. Claire is my fave character, thats why I was mad that she wasnt in RE6 because she hasnt been in a game since Code Veronica. I am happy that they atleast kept Leon a part of the series.

Gh if I can get a hold of the gamecube one's in some form or another I def will but right now all I have is what I can get on the PSN network. I like both the original's and the gamecubes verisons.
