Hello bloggers of Pixlbit! It was a rainy Friday today. I was so happy to finally have rain. Which meant I get to stay in and just play all day. So earlier this week I decided to finally pick up Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. I thought of buying this on release day but knowing that Black Friday was around the corner I decided to let this purchase go for a while. Well it didn't last that long. I was just looking around my local GameStop and saw a used copy. Wasn't surprised to see one since the Pokemon games get traded in within a week of releasae. Anyways, I figured I would give it a try.

Alpha Sapphire seems somewhat the same compared to X/Y. Of course I never played the GameBoy Advanced versions of Ruby/Sapphire so I wouldn't know too much about it. All I knew was the graphics were the same as X/Y. Since I bought it I haven't put that much time into it. I have about 3 hours of gameplay. I guess it just didn't grab my attention as much as X/Y did. But it's still a Pokemon game which means there's tons of hours to be played.

Earlier today I finally decided to pick up Persona Q Shadow of the Labyrinth. I was positive that I was going to buy this on the release date because I loved Persona 4 Golden so much. I didn't finish the game yet because there was just so many other games in my backlog and that caused me to never finish the game. I never played the previous Persona titles but I've heard they were really good. Just something about P4G caught my attention. Maybe it was the fact that I was sick and couldn't get out of bed. I remember playing it for 5 straight hours while having a crazy fever.

Anyways, I read Persona Q is a crossover between the Persona and Etrian Odyssey games. I've only played the demo for Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl. I thought it was interesting the way you map out the paths and entrances to the land. The first person combat was great. Persona Q adds the Persona combat while having the Etrian Odyssey mapping. I watched and read reviews and forums about Persona Q and a lot of people, like me,  who are new to each series really enjoyed it. I still haven't opened my copy yet because I'm very hesitant haha.

Anyways that's all for now. Hopefully I get more pickups this week Have a great weekend everyone!

BEYOND!

I guess I shouldn't tell you that amazon has some game deals running till Dec 20th,lol. I got on twitter tonight and saw someone post about it. A majority of the games on sale are ps4 titles but they do have a few Xbone ones and last Gen titles on sale.I really wish I still had a PS3 again because of Persona arena looks like a badass fighting game and it's on sale. My bf has PersonaQ and is enjoying it. I'm thinking of getting my own copy but I also want that new rhythm game that's coming to the vita for the Persona series. I think it releases next year. Anywho I recently got 2 of the HyperDimension Neptunia games and am loving them. Ones an RPG while the other is a spin off simulation/rhythm game. I might try to buy a few games from that sale come Monday but it all depends on Xmas shopping really.

I had totally forgotten about the Persona music game! I've been wanting to pick up Hatsune Miku Diva f 1&2 but I'm waiting on a sale. What games are on sale on Amazon?! I'm curious now haha

Nevermind I saw the sale. Nothing that really interests me besides Lego Batman 3 for $40 but I know it will hit that price eventually so I'll just wait. Thanks for the heads up!

Any reference or similarity to Etrian Odyssey gets my attention.

Is it a good series? Mapping the environment is a different style to me. I'm use to the map always being there and allowing you to explore the areas. Not draw out the map.

I love drawing out the maps.

I love Etrian Odyssey.  Never finished one of them, but I love playing them nonetheless.

Do those games get difficult in the long run? I know I can always turn down the difficulty but I'm not use to playing Etrian Odyssey.

they can be difficult.  I think in the latest though you could adjust it.  They are VERY hard, but they can be a little tough here and there.  It's really fun making your own characters and mapping out the dungeons though.
