 I'm Really Feeling It!

Howdy Pixlbit, how's it going? It's been a while since I last posted a blog so here's this for now. It's more of an update blog of what I've been up to lately since my last blog, so here's what I've been up to:

First and foremost, Super Smash Bros. Wii U! The game is just really awesome, I'm really liking all the new changes to it and everything. I think it may be my Game of the Year, though not sure since I don't know what I'm getting for christmas but I doubt it'll change. My brothers and I have been having a blast with it and we've gotten 700 matches in so far, maybe I can surpass my 10,000 matches from Brawl.

As far as characters go, I use Rosalina, Lucina, Palutena, Little Mac, and Shulk the most from the newcomers. Zero Suit Samus, Toon Link, Captain Falcon, and Uberly Patriotic Mario the most. I haven't used all of the characters yet since I mostly only use my favorites but I do practice with each as to stay knowlegable with the movesets. As for the stages, they are really awesome, so far my favorites are Mario Galaxy, Pokemon League from X/Y, Gaur Plain, Orbital Gate, Great Cave Offensive, Gamer, and the Boxing Ring. It's also nice to see some of my past favorite stages return. I haven't tried all the modes yet too but will get to it. Also, I got the bundle and all I can say is that it feels great holding my favorite controller again. The game just feels so much better with it. Also, if anyone wants to go a few rounds, let me know.

It was also my little brother's birthday the day before thanksgiving, and for the first time since he was born, his birthday was actually on the exact day he was born. I also had to sacrifice some purchases so I can get him some presents for his bday, I don't mind since he likes them.

I also got the Fallout 3 platinum trophy today, so happy that I did since it's one of my favorite games on the PS3.

Also, for those who are wondering about the fate of my 3DS, I haven't gotten a battery for it yet, I might but just not now. It does work if I plug it to the recharger but I'm afraid the battery might blow up if I use it any more longer, so I haven't touched a 3DS game in a while. So as a result of that, my art has taken a backseat for a while.

I have been using my DSi and have been cathing up on DS games I've been meaning to play again, like the Pokemon games and Dragon Quest IX. I've been playing DQ9 alot and forgot how addictive this game was, so far I've been grinding alot to level up all the other vocation classes so I can take on the legacy bosses that I can currently fight. I'm also side-questing alot too, especially completing dlc quests that I never did.

I've also been playing a lot of Forza 2 on the 360. I'm a stranger to driving simulators, I'm more of an arcade racer type like Mario Kart, F-Zero, and NFS but I had Forza 2 for a while. I did play some of it a year ago and thought it was good but couldn't get the hang of it. Recently I picked it up again and now kow how to play it better, thanks to a certain anime (Initial D). I learned that speed really isn't everything in this game, there's alot of stuff involved like like steering, knowing when to brake, and for how long in a corner, and a special little technique that I picked up from Initial D that actually works. I think I may get Horizon when I'm done with this one.

I've also picked up Xenoblade again and boy I rally love that game. I played it again around August, but in short bursts but I've been playing it more frequently and I think I may almost be done with it. Just in time for Xenoblade Chronicles X, but you don't really need to play Xenoblade in order to play X since it's not a direct sequel. I do want to finish it before it releases though. It could be my favorite console rpg of the last gen, it may seem likely too. The game is just that good, and I would buy it again on the New 3DS too cause it's Xenoblade on the go.

And for anyone wondering, I do have some amiibos, only one though and it's Link. I wanted to get a Marth instead but it was sold out so I got Link. Plus it was useful outside Smash like in Mario Kart 8 and in Hyrule Warriors. I also wanted Captain Falcon but it was pre-sold out already. I'll get it at some point. Still, I only plan on getting the ones I want the most, Falcon is out of the question right now, so that list so far is Rosalina, Shulk, ZS Samus, Palutena, Lucina, Toon Link, R.O.B. and maybe Charizard and Meta-Knight. But so far, the must haves for me is Rosalina, Shulk, and ZS Samus. Rosalina just got confirmed as a Target exclusive, and am excited for that, you can't pre-order her yet, but I have Shulk pre-ordered cause I know he'll be really rare.

And last but not least, the Zelda Wii U footage. I was stunned when I saw it, you couldn't see much cause of the small screen footage ut it looked amazing. I was just stunned at how great it looked, I haven't been so excited for a Zelda game like this since Twilight Princess. I'l post my opinions on that on a later blog.

Btw, did you know today is (or was depending when you read this) December 13, 2014? What's so special about it? Well, 12, 13, 14. The month, day, and year, and they say it could be a hundred years till we see that again, so for that I made this drawing:

It's based on DC Comics We Can Be Heroes campaign. I made this quick despite risking it with the 3DS. Hope you all like it. So what have you been up to? There will be more blogs on the way, hopefully. Thanks for reading and later.

Yeah, I saw that about the consecutive dates. Didn't even think about it.

I've played Smash a couple times this week and love it. Wish I owned a copy myself. Actually bought my friend an amiibo Samus, since he got me $20 on Steam.

I'm enjoying Smash Bros a lot too, but Dragon Age Inquisition is taking the bulk of my gaming time. Hoiping once all my friends are done with their semester this week we go back to Smash nights, 8 player Smash is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Congrats on the Fallout 3 plat. Love that game to death, but don't have the patience for it. And I literally did everything in it.

Super Smash Bros is fun and looks great. One issue I have with that game though is the lack of a single player mode. I popped in SSB:Brawl the other for the hell of it and the single player mode in that is so awesome, I wish SSB4WU also had it.

I am finishing up Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, I am close to getting the platnium trophy.

yeah I'm really excited for Zelda too.  Like I said to Nicole, it finally looks the way Zelda games always felt like, but weren't really, if that makes sense.

Really liked DQ9, though my Internet connection wasn't one recognized by the game so I couldn't access the DLC quests and other stuff.

I ran into the same thing with DQ9 and any other game that used the internet because WPS security was not supported by the game even though the DSI and now the 3DS support it. It's kind of brainless that the game needed it's own connection rather than just piggy backing onto the one that is already established.

I like Smash Bros., too, but I'm playing more of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker right now.  I just wrote a blog about it, too.  I hope you get to read it.

I have all the Amiibos. :)
