Shovel Knight is better than the remastered duck tales, trust me.
As for me? Just finished MGS Ground Zeroes. Playing Spintires and Skyrim (again) atm. Oh and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC because there's a new mod out for it, and that game is awesome.

After today, not only can the Green Bay Packers clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, but the Dallas Cowboys can clinch a division title with a win over the Colts tomorrow. My prediction is both will be hard fought games (the former despite low public expectations for the Bucs, the latter despite low expectations of the Cowboys), but both my teams will win. We'll know in a few hours.
Thank you Redskins!
As for gaming news, just bought Rage and Blazblue on the holiday sale with some Steam Wallet money courtesy my friend and former boss, Robbie who writes for analogaddiction.org. Don't worry, I bought him a Samus amiibo in return.
I'm currently eyeing a $7.49 copy of Ducktales Remastered, but also wondering if I should hold out for a sale on Shovel Knight. I only have $10 of the $20 in my Steam Wallet left, and usually like to get below-$5 titles when sales happen.
What are you up to?
How was Ground Zero? When does MGSV proper come out again? What is Spintires? I never played STALKER.Is that stealth-action?
And yeah, as someone who has zero nostalgia for NES Duck Tales; though I loved the show; I'm thinking shovel knight is more my speed as well.
STALKER is one of my favourite games of all time. Think Fallout but with less RPG and more fps. Also more immersive. You have to eat and drink to survive. There are anomalies you have to watch out for. And the game is just all around more depressing being set in Chernobyl and all.
Spintires is a simulator game where you drive big trucks through mud and try not to get bogged. It sounds dull, but it's challenging and quite addictive.
I enjoyed MGS Ground Zeroes. I picked it up for 5 bucks and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. A lot. It's made me really look forward to MGSV much more than previously. It's also really well optimised for pc. And MGSV comes out next year sometime. I don't think it has a proper release date.
Shovel Knight is a REALLY good game. BUT, I loved DuckTales Remastered a lot. If it weren't for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, DuckTales Remastered might've been my Game of the Year for 2013. How much did you like the DuckTales TV show and NES game? If the answer is 'a lot' then you need to download DuckTales Remastered. Hopefully you can get Shovel Knight, too, as that is great also.
I haven't played the original game, but what I've payed of 2 online is good, albeit a bit hard to control with a keyboard (played Duck Tales 2 NES via nintendo8.com). And I liked the TV show, but it was never really my favorite. So that's part of why I'd take Shovel Knight over it.
So great you got BlazBlue. It's a bit hard to get into, but still excellent once you start to play it more. I also dig the story, but that would depend on you by how much you tolerate anime tropes.
I've been spending bits on the sales. I bought two days ago Escape Goat and Batman: Arkham Asylum and just two hours ago I grabbed The Binding of Isaac and a shmup called Astebreed. I may spend a bit more in the next few days, but also keeping my wallet in check.
I still can't believe the Raiders messed everything up and won games to knock themselves out of a number 1 pick. I don't know much about the Ducktails remaster but I do see a lot of it at GameStop, and maybe one day I'll pick up a copy.
I think I have a copy of Blazblue...or maybe I thought about buying it. I should check.
