It is almost time for the new year where we can actually move on to this crazy thing dubbed The Year 2015. I honestly can say this year hasn’t been the most remarkable one for different reasons: hopelessly single, a relative passed away, stuck at a  job that burned me physically, mentally, and energetically, a dead body was discovered at said work, and debt from hell won’t burn there. But as the year comes to an end I guess my mind is coming to end of personality traits, or faults as I see them.

I’ve always had a habit of daydreaming, going really overboard in my mind. Lately it seems like I’m running out of materials for these daydreams, using previous material and re-running scenes and going in circles. And now that I’m getting close to the terrors of putting three before zero, it’s actually coming to a close, almost cold turkey perhaps. Last night and this afternoon alone I’ve spent more time on getting the Dell to perform just slightly better. Still one gig of memory didn’t cost $25 a stick for this thing but I got it to work faster. By one second. At least. But in any case just putting the effort into something without my mind dreaming up something purely fictional is something rare. I suppose you could call this an awakening.

As I have mentioned I’ll be turning 30 around the next month. Starting a new year by starting a new age three weeks in. Yay (Sarcasm). But my age won’t stop me from playing any video games, that’s for sure. So with that I have some wishes: The first birthday wish is Shadowrun: Dragonfall. I only discovered this series after watching the first episode of Counter Monkey and only after googling the name I saw the game Shadowrun Returns on its Kickstarter page. One Steam Winter Sale later I got it with the regular discount and just loved it. I’m playing the Dead Man’s Switch again (this time with two different characters but I think I’ll end up going with the elf mage) and I just want more. I have only recently put Dragonfall: The Director’s Cut on top of my Steam Wishlist. Second wish is just $10. A year’s subscription of Pokemon Bank lasts for quite a long time. As for the rest of the money I’m just going to get DLC, for Persona Q at least since the subscription for the bank is $4.99 plus tax. If it can bump up to $20 I could add more DLC to my Fire Emblem Awakening game. Third and final wish is just to have the weekend following my birthday off. While I could request off on my birthday I thought of it this way: Do I want to have the Friday that is my birthday off and work the following Saturday or just work that day and come home to celebrate my 30 year mark for a whole weekend?

And that’s it for this year. Only thing to do is just recommend the last episode of Freeman’s Mind and say see you chummers next year.

OMG! Freeman's Mind is the frizzle pop! So good! Thanks for that. It's like what if Will Farrell was Morgan Freeman. I totally want to play Shadowrun Returns too. I'd buy a tablet to play that.

You can play Shadowrun Returns on PC through Steam and GOG as well.

That's certainly a cheaper option.

Happy New Year! Hopefully things will be better next year and something good may come from your birthday.

I've got Shadowrun Returns and maybe i'll start it once I get a better headset.

I'm actually thinking of redoing my Elf mage, mostly because I want to rearrange the karma points a bit more from the template.

A 32 year old I just met tonight is marrying my attractive 25 year old friend this year. They met by playing D&D after working at Target together. Things can get better. Here's hoping they do for you!

I guess there's always hope.
