I hope they can clean up Korra and make a bigger game too.
My favorite games of 2014.

Truth be told, I don't really like writing this kinds of year in review type of blogs. They take a lot of thought and sometime I just get kind of nervous thinking about it. Which was one of the reasons why I didn't do one last year. Plus I'm kind of busy with work and most of the time its just pure laziness. Not to mention there is just a whole lot of games that come out late in the year, not to mentions games I've finally gotten around to playing from previous years. Speaking of games of previous years, that's probably were I'm going to start.
First off.....
Saint's Row: The Third (2011/PC) - I really apprehensive of trying out the third game since I really hated the second game. Turns out, Saint's Row The Third is actually one of the most funniest games I've played in a while. Its great how it manages to be self aware of its own silliness but never gets to lost in it.
Spec-Ops: The Line (2012/PC) - A military shooter that somehow manages avoiding being Call of Duty's "'Mmerica, Fuck Yeah!" storytelling and takes us on a brutal journey through war. Its probably a game that you'll won't want to replay after finished but it will make you remember it.
Remember Me (2013/PC) - A solid action/adventure combat game with beautiful graphics, solid mechanics, an amazing soundtrack and interesting story.
Far Cry 4 (PS4) - Drive, shoot, hunt, go on drug trips and take down a totalitarian state while interacting with a colourfull cast of characters in the Tibetan mountains.
Titanfall (PC/Xbox One)- The game kind of fizzled throughout the year, but was fun while it lasted. First match is friggin's doozy. Why doesn't Origin have a screenshot function, its bullcrap!
P.T. Playable Teaser (PS4) - Have you ever played a game that just gave you axienty, seeping into thoughts at night and terrifying you? This game wasn't even a full game and it managed it grab people's attentions in August. I'm not even sure now if I'm excited or fearful of the arrival of Silent Hills, when ever it comes around.
Watch Dogs (PS4/PC) - Its a solid game but never reaches the heights it exibited in it's 2012 reveal. PC modding makes it look hella pretty.
Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea: Episode 2 (PC) - Saying goodbye to beloved characters isn't easy.
Sunset Overdrive (Xbox One) - A damn fun game, it certainly made me glad that I did buy an Xbox One. Why doesn't the Xbox One have a screenshot function.
inFamous: Second Son/First Light (PS4) - Super powers and Troy Baker; that dude has a lot of range.
Bayonetta 2 (WiiU) - Crazy climax action and somewhat more comprehensive story then its predecessor. Also you can wear a Link and Samus Aran costume. At least, the WiiU kind of has a screenshot function via the MiiVerse.
The Legend of Korra (PS4) - For a licensed game and probably the short development time Platinum had on it; it was fun game and I really hope that it leads to a fully realized game later on.
Super Smash Bros. (3DS/WiiU) - Smash me as hard as you can. Still can't believe they brought back the Gamecube controllers just for this game.
Mario Kart 8 (WiiU) - Devastation, death stares, anarchy, and go-karts
Honourable mention goes out to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2; it wasn't terrible, actually I thought it was better than the first game. Except for those stealth sections, they just stick out and kind of bring the whole experience down.
Now onto 2015, hopefully all of us will have a decent year. Keep safe and game on!
