When You Come to the End of Your Suikoden

... pop goes your heart?

I'm still getting ready for the final battle, pumping up the stats of the characters who show up in S II so that some stuff will carry over. I got a little misty during the scene in the War Room when Leknaat announced that the 108 Stars were all together. The significance of that announcement will mean nothing unless you've actually finished the game with all 108 but those that have will know what I'm talking about.

At just over 50 hours it's not the longest RPG I've ever played but it's up there with my favourites. I can't wait to sink my teeth into Suikoden II for the first time.

I'm hoping the the digital sales of the first two games inspire the powers that be to release III and V (and if they must IV). My physical copies of those games are sold but I would certainly buy them back for 10 bucks.

In other news, on my first day back after the holidays I got my hands on a Galaxy Note 4 from work and have been happily messing with that for the last week. The thing is super fast (quad core running at 2.7 Ghz) and the 5.7" 2560 x 1440 screen is beautiful.

It's got 32 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM. It will take a 128 GB microSD for expansion purposes too.

Anyway it made coming back to work a lot more fun. :)

that's sweet man.  That sounds like a nice little gadget.

I've been thinking of getting a "writing" computer, that's smaller than my laptop I have now (and has a better keyboard).  I'm really trying to focus on writing more, and have been getting some stuff done, but I want to be able to sit on my couch with a smaller computer and do it too.  I was thinking about a Macbook Air, but I noticed there's a new, fresh Dell with almost the same stats that's two hunder cheaper, with a better screen.  I think I'm gonna get that Dell man.

Only 50 hours?  That's not bad.  I'll have to more it up on my to play list.

I prefer games that last like 5-10 hours in terms of main story, but that I play for at least double that finding secrets n' shit.

As work presses increasingly on my time, I too begin to crave full experiences packed into smaller timespans.

Just got Ar Nosurge in the mail though....I'll probably send it right back so I can play more Mordor.
