Greenman gaming has some preorder discounts up right now. Among them is RE HD for $14.99 so 5 bucks off retail.

goddammit, I didn't buy RE but I ended up buying "Life is Strange"... Arg!
I considered that one when I saw it but I'm cutting out all game spending for a while unless it's on games I can resell at a profit. So the RE game on PS3 will be my last for a bit and flash sales be damned.
Are they adding anything to the game or are they just giving it a hd upgrade?
I'm not holding my breath for extra content but I enjoyed it on Gamecube so I went for it.

Every time I get emails from Greenman Gaming that's who I think of too. All those years on 1UP.
I really don't want to buy this but I'm now into RE after playing 6 a lot. Plus I've never finished the first game...Hell, I never got past the first few rooms in the first game.
So by original you mean the PSX version right?
The remake (at least on the Gamecube) was much easy to control and the mansion much easier to navigate. The PSX version I wound up quitting in frustration after the first few rooms. It controlled so horribly and aiming was really poor.
I never did finish the original RE despite owning both the PS1 and Gamecube remake at one point. It wasn't until RE 2 that I got into that series. Hopefully they will do a good job on this remake of a remake.
